ANSLEY, Gary Lee 53, of Enon passed away Saturday, January 29, 2005 in Anderson, Indiana. He was born December 11, 1951 in Bellefontaine to Loretta Ansley of Enon and the late Gayford L. Ansley. Gary retired from the Greenon Local School District after 22 years of service and was an Army Veteran. He was a member of Byron Church, and loved to go fishing. Gary is survived by his mother, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue (Mike) Miller of Riverside, Ohio, Debbie (Ronnie) Nester of Jeffersonville, Kentucky, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack (Becky) Ansley of Pleasant Hill, Ohio, David (Carolyn) Ansley of Anderson, Indiana, a special friend, Sharon Taylor of Springfield, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Robert Ansley. Funeral Service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2005 in Byron Church, Fairborn with Reverend H. GLENN, Minnie Jane 93, of Springfield died at 1:03 a.m. on Monday in Eaglewood Care Center. She was born in Clark County, Ohio on September 1, 1911 the daughter of Edward and Cora (Sheridan) Irons. For many years she and her late husband, James T. "Jimmy" Glenn owned and operated Glenn's Cafe` in Springfield. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. Survivors include one daughter and spouse, Maureen (Thomas J.) Grady, Springfield; three grandchildren and spouses, Michael Charters, Anne (Ceferino) Cata and Elaine (Douglas) Lunne; six great-grandchildren, Michael, Emily and Andrew Cata and Caroline, John and Marie Lunne; a number of nieces and nephews; and one son-in-law, Michael T. Charters. She was preceded in death by her husband James T. in 1957; two brothers, Roy and Raymond; four sisters, Nellie Ross, Lillie Stottlemyer, Daisey Morris and Edna Virginia Gannon; and a dear friend, Florence Charters. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Teresa Church. Visitation will be an hour and a half prior beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Central High School Foundation or to Clark State Community College Foundation. He was born on October 11, 1951 in Portsmouth, Virginia, the son of William J. and Ellen (Kimball) Curtis. Jack was a veteran of the United States Army 82nd Airborne and served our country proudly as a medic during The Vietnam War. He and his family attended Maiden Lane Church of God, and recently The First Christian Church. Jack enjoyed golf, softball, listening to music and spending time with his family. He was born August 3, 1939 in Springfield the son of Jay S. and Loretta Mae (Case) Butler, Sr. Mr. Butler was a veteran of the United States Army and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Survivors include one sister, Shirley A. Ball, London; one brother, Ronald (Brenda Warren) Butler, Enon; nieces and nephews, Karen Ball, Teresa Powell, Rick Butler, Beth Tamborski and Jill Ponti. MURRELL, Dale 74, beloved husband, father, and the greatest grandfather passed away January 31, 2005. He was born August 26, 1930 in Xenia, Ohio to the parents of Pearl "Newt" and Helen (Rockafield) Murrell. He served 36 years of military service from 1950 to 1954 active duty with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and the remaining years was with the Air National Guard at the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport from which he retired in June 1986. Shortly after retirement he co-owned and operated Professional Greens Aeration for several years. He attended the First Baptist Church of Xenia and was a member of the WGC Golf Course of Xenia where he played actively in a foursome with his buddies Bob Sanders, JR Lawrence, and Ed Stroud. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carole L. (Claar) Murrell; his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Charles E. Frye Jr. of Rockwall, Texas; his grandson, Joshua William of Orlando, Florida; his granddaughter, Nicole Louise of Rockwall, Texas; his sister, Mary Elizabeth Rector of Xenia; his sister and brother-in-law, Martha Jane and Kenneth White of Xenia; his brother, Dwight Murrell of Xenia; his sister-in-law, Selva Murrell of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Roger Lee Murrell; his son, Richard Dale Murrell; his brother, Garland Eugene Murrell; his brother-in-law, Henry (Hank) Rector; and his sister-in-law, Cletis Jane Murrell. Robert was born in Springfield, Ohio on December 21, 1923. He is survived by his eight children and their spouses, Susan Harris of Clermont, Florida, Kathleen and William Dupree of Cincinnati, Ohio, James Wilson of Troy, Ohio, Elizabeth Kimbler of Kettering, Ohio, Cynthia Dillard of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rebecca Bruno of Port Charlotte, Florida, Margaret and Brian Bush of Liberty Township, Ohio and Carolyn and James Price of Vandalia, Ohio. He is also survived by two sisters, Patricia Yannucci of Springfield, Ohio and Joan Vieira of Perrysburg, Ohio and one brother, Gerald Wilson of F. Pierce, Florida. In addition, Robert is survived by 12 loving grandchildren, Dana, Karen, Billy, Lori, Joseph, Nate, Erin, Colleen, Zachary, Jake, JJ and Eliza, as well as one great-grandchild, Jessica. Robert served in the Army Air Corp. with the Second Air Commando Group, 327th Airborne Squadron during World War II. He was stationed in Burma, India. He is retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base and Troy Public Schools. Robert was a friend of Bill W. and volunteered over 29 years of his time to assist people struggling with addictions. Robert was an avid reader, sports fan and enjoyed photographing his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Smith attended Springfield City Schools. He was employed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, later enlisting in the United States Army and serving his country from 1942 to 1946 receiving an Honorable Discharge. As a self-employed masonry contractor, he was well known in the Southwestern Ohio area. He was a member of Greater First Baptist Church and later moved his membership to Highlight Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved and devoted wife of 59 years, Annie P. (David) Yates; a daughter, Min. Carolyn J. Jeffries; a son, Deputy Eugene Yates; a sister, Betty Copher all of Springfield, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Lisa McPherson, Master Sergeant Roger (Stacy) Brown, Martin Yates, Anthony (Holly) Jeffries, Rochelle (Ryan) Wilcox, Matthew Yates, Asiah Jeffries and Walter Yates; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; six sisters-in-law, Rozzie Turner, Christer B. Edith was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Walter Powell and her second husband Harold Saum; brothers Elbert, Earl, and Robert Shroyer and sisters Florence Hildebrand, Ruth Greaves, and Laura Click. She is survived by three brothers Howard and Lena Shroyer of Lake Wales, Florida, Walter and Kay Shroyer of Springfield, and William and Janet Shroyer of Phoenix, Arizona; and one sister Mary Jane and Jay McFarland of Springfield; eleven nieces and fourteen nephews and several great nieces and nephews. LAWRENCE, Richard T. "Dick" 75, of Springfield, died Wednesday morning, February 2, 2005 in his residence following several years of failing health. He was born in Springfield on May 8, 1929 the son of Irvin W. and Helen B. (West). Dick served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After the war, he graduated from Wittenberg University. He worked at GMAC for 19+ years and then retired as a loan officer from National City Bank after 20 years of service. He was a 1956 graduate of Springfield High School and attended Wittenberg University. He was born on September 13, 1938 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Wesley and Rosa (Kirby) Floyd. Jim was an industrious and tireless worker who had the unique ability to analyze and solve problems and communicate with people. He enjoyed mentoring those that worked with him. He was admired by both his employers and those that worked with him. This is indicated by the fact that he worked for Combustion Engineering (formerly Bauer Brothers) on three different occasions, twice at International Truck and Engine having worked in Springfield, Fort Wayne, Chicago and Wagner, Oklahoma where he was project manager for the building of the Wagner Oklahoma truck plant. He held several managerial positions throughout the International Corporation. He was employed by the Walker Division of Tenneco, twice holding several managerial positions in Newark, Ohio and Culver, Indiana and as a consultant in Racine, Wisconsin. He was project manager for their new plant in Culver. He also served as Director of Engineering for Bentler Stamping in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At the time of his death he was serving as plant manager for Pridgen Clay Stamping plant in Franklin, Indiana after having held engineering management positions at Pridgen Clay Headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jones, Mary Helen 78, died Saturday, February 5, 2005 after a long struggle with strokes and seizures. She was born October 27, 1926 in Erlanger, Kentucky the daughter of the late Charles andFrances (Fishback) Stephens. She graduated from Elementary and High School in Erlanger, and from the Cincinnati Bible Seminary with a BSL degree, intending to teach in church and direct Vacation Bible Schools, not only where she was a member, but in other churches as well. She worked with churches in Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, and Oklahoma. Mary Stephens married Pastor Ray L. Jones on September 8, 1948, and served with him in churches located in Milford, Medway, Springfield, New Carlisle, and Huber Heights - all in Ohio. In these churches she taught children's classes, women's groups, and Vacation Bible School. She was a mentor to younger women, and organized a senior's ministry at First Christian Church in Huber Heights, which she led until her stroke in 2002. One of her most encouraging ministries was in writing letters to the sick, shut-ins, hospitalized and bereaved. For 10 years she worked at Dayview Care Center, first as an aid, and then as an Activity Director until she retired. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Ray Jones, of New Carlisle, Ohio; five children: Steven Jones, of Nashville, Tennessee, Linda Stone, of Okeechobee, Florida, Phil Jones, of Burlington, Kentucky, Carol Hill, of Anaheim, California, and Daniel Jones, of Las Vegas, Nevada; thirteen grandchildren; her sister, Margaret Stoltz, of Mountain View, California, and two nieces. Auctioneer Glenn Weikert Dies At 83, Services Set For 2 P.M. Saturday Here Glen WEIKERT, 83, of 3856 Old Columbus rd., and auctioneer who had sold registered livestock at sales throughout the United States, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in City Hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. Death was attributed to the nfirmities of advancing age. He suffered multiple cerebral hemorrhages Thursday. Known as "Colonel", an honorary title given auctioneers, Mr. WEIKERT had conducted sales in this area for more that half a century and had auctioned fine cattle and horses all over the country for more than three decades. James B. "Jim" VIOLET, 77 of Springfield died on Wednesday may 11, 2005. He was born on December 13, 1927 in Vinton County, Ohio the son of Charles and Helen (WIBLE) VIOLET. He graduated from Delphos Jefferson High School and then graduated from Wittenberg College, class of 1951. Prior to college, Jim served our country during World War II in the United States Army. He retired from the State of Ohio after thirty plus years of service where he performed various duties; State Examiner, Finance Director of the Ohio State Fair, and Acting finance Director of the City of Springfield. He also had a private accounting service for over thirty years and was a Real Estate Agent. Community service was important to Jim. He was an active member of Valley View and Northminster Presbyterian Church for forty years, the Springfield Kiwanis and Jaycee's Club, Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, and was an ardent supporter of the Republican Party. Most recently, she was a volunteer at the Animal Welfare league and St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Stores; and a volunteer tutor at Lincoln Elementary School. He enjoyed driving his old Farmall tractor, playing golf, watching Ohio State Football and attending Wittenberg Sporting events. Jim is survived by his wife and best friend of fifty-four years, Jane (ROCKEL) VIOLET, TWO DAUGHTERS AND A SON-IN-LAW; Becky VIOLET and Karen and Doug SERRER both of Springfield; on one and daughter-in-law, Don and Donna VIOLET of Sunbury, three sisters and brothers-in-law; Grace and Jim MARIHUGH of Delphos; Betty and Phil MURDICK of Upper Arlington; Sharon and John MURRAY of Winchester, Kentucky; two brothers and sisters-in-law; Charles and Marie VILOTE of Spencerville, and Ben and Karen VIOLET of Delphos, seven grandchildren; Jenna, Jesse, Danelle, Dana, Daryn, Daniel and Zachary. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bob. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2005 from 3-5 p.m. in the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home where the service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Genny L. YOUNGERMAN, 47, of Springfield, went to Heaven on Friday evening, May 13, 2005 in her residence, with her family by her side. She was born on June 30, 1957 in Springfield the daughter of Michael W. and Janet L. (REESE) SCHAEFER. Genny loved spending time with her family. She loved to camp and cheering for the Cleveland Browns football team. She devoted her life to her family and helping everyone she could. Genny worked for Franks Nursery and Crafts for twelve years and for Woeber Mustard for four years. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of thirty-one years, Michael D. YOUNGERMAN, of Springfield, two daughters and sons-in-law; Mary and Rick MASSIE and Mandy and Dean WILSON both of Springfield; her parents; seven grandchildren, Kaylea, Rebbecca, Joshua, Destanee, Brittanee, Bethanie, Zachary; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Margaret DAILY, Karen and Ray HAYNES, Melissa and Phillip ERHLE, and Jennifer SCHAEFER all of Springfield; one brother, Michael SCHAEFER of Dayton and many nieces and nephews. Clarence R. KRUPP, 89, of Springfield, Ohio died at 7 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2005 in his residence. He was born February 3, 1916 in Springfield, Ohio to Adam and Mary E. (JUNG) KRUPP. He retired in 1978 from Ohio Thermometer after 42 years of service. He was a lifetime member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, volunteered for a number of years at the Crable House for the Clark County Historical Society and was a United States Army Veteran serving in the South pacific during World War II. Mr. KRUPP is survived by three daughters and spouses, Mary Ellen and Jim PHILLIPS, Springfield, Cecilia and Steve DAVIS, Enon, Ohio and Therese KRUPP, Springfield; four grandchildren, Maureen and Kathleen PHILLIPS, Colleen (Gerritt) SMITH and Lt. James R. PHILLIPS, U.S. Navy; one great-grandchild, Aidan SMITH and numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Loretta BLAZEER. Helen Marie GORDON, 93, of Springfield, died at 3:35 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2005 in the emergency room of Community Hospital. Helen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was born March 14, 1912 in Springfield, Ohio to Harry and Teresa (FINN) FOREMAN. After the death of her father and illness of her mother she left school to work at Wren's to support her brother and sister and care for her mom. Helen was an avid reader, enjoyed her card clubs and following her grandchildren in whatever interests they pursued. She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church and their Alter-Rosary Sodality. He was born in New Carlisle, Ohio on February 22, 1921, the son of Albert Burton and Sadie Marie (WOLFE) BOTKIN. Albert retired from Bauer Brothers as a salesman with 35 years of service. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Albert was a longtime member of Trinity Missionary Church, but recently joined Central Christian Church. His hobbies included old cars and boats. Albert was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Anna Marie CARTER. His survivors include his wife of 65 years, Elda Marie (DOLWICH) BOTKIN, whom he married August 1, 1940; one son, James BOTKIN of Marysville; one sister, Dorothy GRIDLEY of Ft. Myers, Florida; three grandchildren, Christa (Martin) MCCOMAS, Heather (Tony) BOOHER, and Brian (Tammy) BOTKIN; three great-grandchildren, Jacob MCCOMAS, Alex BOOHER, and Mathew BOTKIN; several nieces and nephews. MATTHEWS, "Violet" Pauline, age 92, died July 4, 2005 at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. She was born October 23, 1912 in Clark County, Ohio, daughter of the late Raymond E and Maude (BOTKIN) CLICK. She was a graduate of Springfield School of Business. She married Wilson MATTHEWS May 2, 1937 sharing 60 years together before his death June 25, 1997. Pauline was a dedicated Christian, a past member of Rockway Lutheran Church, Springfield, OH until 1954, a very active past member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Arlington, VA, a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Rockford, IL and an associate member of Zion Lutheran Church, Appleton. She was one of the first survivors of Gullian-Barre Syndrome (French Polio) in 1957 and as such she encouraged others to overcome its obstacles. She enjoyed travel having visited several countries abroad. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Larry and Nancy Matthews of Appleton; a brother, Rev. E. Dale Click of Moorepark, CA; a granddaughter, Sheryl Anne and David Crowell of Rockford, IL; two great-grandsons: Jacob Matthew and Alexander David Crowell; nephews: James Matthews, Rev. Barry (Bonnie Sue) Click, Dean (Susan) Click; and several cousins. Preceding Pauline in death was a sister-in-law, Martha Jane Click, and a brother-in-law, James M. He was a charter member of Farm Markets of Ohio and the Ohio Fruit & Potato and Vegetable Growers Association. He was a longtime member of Central Christian Church. He enjoyed the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns and Clark County Church slow pitch softball. Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Lucile H. King; daughter, Lola King, son, William "Bill" King of Springfield; two grandsons, P. Grant (Tammy) Rodgers of Jefferville, Ohio and Mike V. Prince; granddaughter, Michelle N.
