Virginia E. Bonham, 85, of Golf Lakes Mobile Estates, Bradenton, Florida, died June 25, 1988 in Freedom Care Pavilion, Bradenton, Florida following one and a half years failing health. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, March 27, 1903, the daughter of William M. and Josephine (LANDAKER) WEBB and was a Clark and Madison County resident for many years, also living in Lebanon, Ohio many years before moving to Bradenton, Florida in 1950. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, Ohio, Order of Eastern Star Chapters in Lebanon and London, Ohio. She was an avid photographer and Geneaologist, a former secretary of the Ohio State University Seeds Development Department and a member of the Daughters of American Revolution. Survivors include her husband, Claude F., whom she married in 1975; one brother, William M. WEBB II, Ravenna, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vaughn EYER in 1973, also by one sister, Elizabeth Ann KOONCE. Memorial services to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lebanon Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund in her memory. Ingling-Williams Funeral Home-South Charleston serving the family.

He was born August 25, 1938 in Springfield the son of Arthur and Frances (WISE) WOLFE. He served in the United States Army. Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Fred J. RIDER of Springfield; three brothers, David WOLFE and his wife, Tricia of Arizona, Patrick H. WOLFE of California, Richard WOLFE of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Private services will be held. The family is being served by the Austin Richards and Raff Memorial Home.

She attended the Forest Valley Freewill Baptist Church and was a member of Home City Chapter 258 O.E.S. She is survived by two sons, Lloyd QUALLS of Springfield, and Spencer QUALLS of New Castle, Delaware; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Wilma) GREEN and Mrs. Raymond (Emily) ROBERDS both of Springfield, Inez HENDERSON of Cleveland and Maxine WALKER of Toledo; two brothers, Harry VICKERS of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Webster VICKERS of Springfield; one sister, Helen ARNETT of Portsmouth; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Delbert QUALLS in 1963; and her second husband, Floyd E. KING, July 22, 1988; two sons, Quentin and Curtis QUALLS; one sister, Muriel VICARS. Her body was taken to Ingling-Williams Funeral Home, Springfield where there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Robert L. William Briggs Lafferty, 78, of 732 Snowhill Boulevard died August 8, 1988 at 11:45 a.m. in Oakwood Village following four weeks serious illness. He had been a Springfield resident all his life, he was born May 14, 1910, the son of George and Bessie (BRIGGS) LAFFERTY. He was retired from the Mad River Plant of the Ohio Edison Company, was a member of Christ Episcopal Church where he served as an acolyte, vestryman, and choir member. Survivors are his wife, Mildred (KYLE) LAFFERTY whom he married September 1, 1936; one son, Lieutenant Colonel David K. LAFFERTY of Red Bluff, California; one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Sarah A.) DINGFELDER of Erie, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Paul and Matthew LAFFERTY, Mrs. Joanna REYNOLDS, Kate and John DINGFELDER.. He was preceded in death by one son, Paul Kyle LAFFERTY. His body was taken to the Austin Richards and Raff Memorial Home for visitation from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Christ Episcopal Church with Rev. Edward R. Rich officiating. Interment in Clifton Cemetery, Clifton, Ohio at the convenience of the family. Survivors include one son, James INGRAM, Oklahoma, City; two daughters, Eileen GREENE and Gail GEE, both of Springfield; three sisters, Thelma NEWSOME, Columbus, Bernice COLES, Chillicothe and Pauline DAVIS, Fort Wayne, Indiana; three devoted nieces, Martha ROBINSON, Thurma TAYLOR and Marsha HARRIS; a devoted friend, Sam WEMBLEY; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Her body was taken to the Dennis L. He was retired from the United States Navy, serving in World War II and was a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Group Chapter #4. He also served in the Navy Reserves for ten years. Most recently, he retired from The Dock and was employed with Dairy Mart. Survivors include his wife, Audrey (FAYNE); two sons, Ronald M. HILL of Lawrenceville, Georgia and James J. HILL of Eugene, Oregon; a daughter, Barbara L. ADAMS of Springfield; six grandchildren, Jenny L. and Jeffery W. Dorothy T. Knotts, 74, formerly of Springfield and Pompano Beach, Florida, died September 14, 1988 at 9:40 p.m., in Oakwood Village. She was born, November 17, 1913 in Clark County, the daughter of Van C. and Olive (NEER) TULLIS. She was retired from General Motors accounting department, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pompano Beach, Florida and also an associate of the Northridge United Methodist Church. She is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan and Patricia TULLIS, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Bonnie TULLIS, all of South Vienna; one step-daughter and stepson-in-law, Mrs. Charles (Carolyn) PADGE, Cincinnati, Ohio; seven nieces, Karen TULLIS, Wapakoneta, Ohio, Mrs. David (Brenda) STICKNEY, South Vienna, Mrs. Thomas (Nancy) THICKEL and Melanie TULLIS, all of Dayton, Mrs. Gary (Cynthia) VERMILLION, Springfield, Janet FINCHUM, South Charleston and Mrs. Michael (Gail) FREEMAN, Troy, Michigan; two nephews, Mr. David L. and Donna TULLIS, West Liberty, and Mr. Jon R. TULLIS, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer S. in 1983. Friends may call in the Littleton Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m., Friday. Funeral services will be held there at 10:00 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Mark Dove officiating. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery.

Margaret Bishop, 76, of 363 East High Street, apartment 409, Springfield, died Wednesday, September 14, 1988 at 12:20 p.m. in Mercy Medical Center. She was born February 7, 1912 in Frankfort, Kentucky, a daughter of James and Mattie (LEE) WASHINGTON. She was a member of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the senior usher board. Survivors include three sisters, Minor Lee JACKSON, Dayton, Rozetta PARKER and Christine MASON, both of Frankfort; one nephew, William WASHINGTON, Perryville, Virginia; a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins; two devoted friends, Dezzie OAKS and Georgetta HOCKER, both of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman BISHOP on September 2, 1988. Her body was taken to the Dennis L. Porter Funeral Home where friends may call after 12 Noon on Sunday with the family present from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Dr. Jacob Chatman officiating. �Paul R. Neff Sr., 72, of 2652 Elmore Drive, Springfield died Friday, September 16, 1988 in his residence following several years illness. He was born in Peoria, Illinois, October 12, 1915 the son of John and Ethel NEFF. He served in the United State Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion, and Amvets. In 1973 he retired from Navistar. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (EICK) NEFF; two sons, Paul R. NEFF Jr. and Ronald W. NEFF both of Springfield; three daughters, Beverly Kaye YOUNG of Urbana, Ruth Ellen HILTIBRAN of Springfield, Elizabeth Faye PAYNE of Enon; four step-children, Johnnie, Richard, and Jackie WALKER, Betty ANDERKIN all of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary NEFF in January of 1980. Friends may call in the Austin Richards and Raff Memorial Home 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Warren P. CLARK, 79, formerly of 465 North Race Street, died at 7:10 p.m. Monday, September 19, 1988 in Ridgewood Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. He was born in CLARK County, October 8, 1908 the son of Homer and Mary (BUSTRUM) CLARK and live here all his life. Mr. CLARK retired from the Springfield Laundry. He was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church (formerly Second Lutheran) where he was superintend of Sunday School for many years. Survived by one son, John D. CLARK of Springfield; two daughters, Joanne McCAMPBELL of Addison, Illinois, Mrs. Charles (Joyce) THOMAS of Springfield; two brother, Roy U. CLARK of Fairborn, Robert O. Services will be held on Tuesday September 27, 1988 at 1 p.m. in the Trostel-Chapman Funeral Home, New Carlisle with Brother Ron Coppock officiating. Burial will be in Newsome Chapel Cemetery. He was preceded in death by wife, Sara M. and 1977 and one son, John D. in 1974. He is survived by his wife, June; daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Carole Ann) KEARNS of Akron, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, FCCS David C. and Tina of The Navy Recruit Training Command of Orlando, Florida; four grandson, F.J. and Timothy KEARNS, David THOMAS and Joshua BOWERMAN; two sisters, Mae BOEDICKER of Harrod, Ohio, Marie VOELKER of Florida; half brother, Richard BOWERMAN of Lima; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; several sisters and brothers. Services will be held Monday, October 3, 1988 at10 a.m. in the Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio with Rev. Richard Ward presiding. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima. Friends may call Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Trostel-Chapman Funeral Home, New Carlisle and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Home, Lima.
