Mrs. Stella HINKLE. New Carlisle - Mrs. Stella HINKLE, 68, of 93 W. Clark st., North Hampton, died in her residence at 7 p.m. Sunday following a lengthy illness. Mrs. HINKLE, widow of George F. HINKLE who died in February 1952, was a member of the Liberty Pilgrim Holiness Church. She was born in Pike Township, Clark County, Dec. 22, 1891, the daughter of Samuel I. and Minnie BOTKIN SIGLER. Survivors are two sons Charles of Springfield, Route 3, and Samuel HINKLE of New Carlisle, Route 2; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth JONES of Bradford, O., and Mrs. Mildred HARTMAN of North Hampton; two brothers, Millard of New Carlisle, Route 2, and Charles SIGLER of New Carlisle, Route 3; a sister, Mrs. Wesley GRIMM of New Carlisle, Route 3; and 13 grandchildren. Her body was taken to the Trostel funeral home in New Carlisle. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Liberty Pilgrim Holiness Church near New Carlisle with Rev. M. L. Bogard officiating. Burial will be in the New Carlisle cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday. Services were conducted Friday for Mrs. Lela M. MCCANDLES, 59, of 240 1/2 South Greenmount av., who was found dead in her bed Thursday by a relative. Coroner Austin Richards said death was due to natural causes and the woman apparently died Sunday. She was born June 16, 1901, in South Charleston, the daughter of Edward and Zora GRIMES TERRY, and had lived in Springfield for 40 years. Her husband Clinton, died in 1950. Survivors include two foster both of Springfield; a foster daughter, Mrs. Evelyn MCFARLAND, also of Springfield; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah WHITEHEAD of Springfield, Mrs. Nellie MOORE, Lawrenceville, and Mrs. Raymond MIKESELL of Germantown, and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. MCCANDLES was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, the Violet Council of the Daughters of America, and the Women's Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Her body was taken to the Littleton funeral home. Graveside services were conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Edward Barton of the First Church of the Nazarene in Rose Hill Cemetery.

WALKER FROCK, 95, a former Springfield resident, lately living with her son, Robert, at Cardington, O., died in her residence at 11:40 a.m. Friday following five years' illness. Mrs. FROCK, widow of Charles FROCK who died in 1937, had lived in Cardington about 12 years. She was born Nov. 11, 1864, in Clark County, the daughter of James H. and Mary DEAN WALKER. Surviving her, in addition to her son, are a brother, Ben WALKER of London, O.: four sisters, Mrs. Alice SLAGER of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Nellie HEIRONIMUS of Sedalia, O., Mrs. Ethel KRIES of Huson, Mont., and Miss Clara WALKER of Lakewood, O.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Her body was taken to the Curl funeral home in Cardington where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Jerry Butcher officiating. Burial will be in the South Vienna cemetery. �John M. Neff, 88 of Lower Valley pk., Medway, Rural Route 1, died at 3 a.m. Tuesday at his residence, following a long illness. Mr. Neff was born Sept. 14, 1872, in Clark County. He was a retired farmer and cabinet maker. Mr. Neff was a member of the Olive Branch Grange, and the Medway Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Robert G. of Medway, and David of Urbana; and three grandchildren. His body was taken to the Morris Sons Funeral home in Fairborn, where friends may call from 4-6 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Edwin Myers, officiating. Burial will be in the Medway Cemetery.

Mrs. BYERMAN was born Feb. 15, 1880, in Millville, the daughter of Charles A. and Mary LAUDERMAN RUMMEL. She was a resident of Springfield the last 65 years. She was a member of the Second Lutheran Church, Home City Chapter of the Order of Easter star, and the Modern Temple Pythian Sisters. Mrs. BYERMAN was preceded in death in 1950 by her husband, W.P. BYERMAN. Survivors include three nieces, Mrs. Martha CARNEY, Mrs. Jo Ann LIZZA, and Mrs. Dorothy HAYS, all of Springfield, and a nephew, Paul R. RUMMELL, of Madison, Miss. Her body was taken to the Jackson-Lytle funeral home.

Wilbur M. BEEMER, 69, of 138 Fremont av., died at 7:50 a.m. Monday in City hospital, following several years of failing health. Mr. BEEMER was born June 29, 1891, Springfield, the son of William Burr and Ella FRANK BEEMER. He was owner and operator of a grocery and lunchroom, 1619 Clifton av., fo a number of years and later was a guard at the Champion Chemical Co. plant until retirement. Mr. BEEMER was a member of the Third Church of God, Red Star Lodge No. 205, Knights of Pythias, and Local 148 International Association of Machinists of the Champion Chemical Co. Survivors include several sousins. His body was taken to Littleton funeral home. Burial in Ferncliff Cemetery.

A native of the Springfield area, Mrs. MCDANIEL left here to live in Miami 14 years ago. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, LeRoy WILSON of Springfield, and Maj. Robert WILSON, of Aiken, and three daughters, Mrs. Norma CREACHBAUM of Springfield, Mrs. Nancy CRIN of Los Angeles, Calif., and Miss Linda MCDANIEL of Miami. Funeral services and burial will be Wednesday in Miami.

He was born in Springfield March 27, 1907, the son of Frank H. an Cora B. MILLER MILLS. Surviving Mr. MILLS is his widow, Lily; a daughter, Marilyn Kay, at home; a son, Robert of Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Charles J. of Parsons, Kans.., Robert H. and Frank H., both of Springfield. George Walter STRONG, 67, of 801 Victory rd., former Clark County Jersey cattle breeder, died at 8:15 a.m. Sunday in the Stevens Nursing Home where he had been a patient for four weeks. Mr. STRONG was born on a farm on Victory rd., and lived there his entire life. After being educated in Clark County schools, he became the first graduate of the agricultural school at Ohio Northern University. The agricultural school is no longer in existence. He had been in failing health for three months. Born on May 31, 1893, he was a son of William and Rosa TUCKER STRONG. He was a member of Rockway Lutheran Church and held membership in the Clark County Jersey Cattle Club. After being in the Jersey cattle business for many years, Mr. STRONG pursued general farming in more recent years. Survivors are his widow, Elizabeth REYNOLDS STRONG; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy BAKER of Enon, Mrs. Edna WITT of Hickam Air Force Base, Honolulu, Hawaii and Mrs. Thelma HACKNEY of Montgomery, Ala. She was born in Springfield, where she lived all her life, April 23, 1894, the daughter of Joseph B. and Emma GOEKE BOERGER. Her husband, Charles P. SOMERS, Sr., died September 17, 1930. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mary) LUBBERS of Springfield; two sons, Charles P. ad John E. SOMERS, of Dayton; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her body was taken to the Conroy funeral home where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Requiem high mass will be sung at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary Church and burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. St. Bernard Sewing Guild of Mercy Hospital will hold services in the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, and the St. Mary Altar and Rosary Sodality services will be held in the funeral home at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Theodore F. GAIER, 56, of 1560 Rutland Avenue, died unexpectedly in his residence at 6:15 a.m. Thursday, apparently from a heart attack. He had returned home from City Hospital Monday after undergoing treatment for a heat condition. He had been a patient nearly a month after suffering a heart attack, and had been returned home once before but was taken back to the hospital after a relapse. He was born December 12, 1904, in Springfield, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore GAIER. He was an employee of the Bauer Brothers Co. and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Local 500, UAW-CIO. Survivors include his widow, Lucille V.; his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine ALLEN of Springfield and Mrs. Rose LENTZ of Loveland, O.; five brothers, Henry of South Gate, Calif., William of Gardenia, Calif., Robert of Las Vegas, New., Eugene and Leo of Springfield, several nieces and nephews. His body was taken to the Jackson-Lytle funeral home where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Raymond Garrett of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.
