Douglas G. WILLIAMSON, 61, of 4346 Willowbrook Drive, Springfield, died Wednesday, December 5, 1990, at 2:30 p.m. in Mercy Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on May 26, 1929, the son of Howard T. and Ethel (DECK) WILLIAMSON. He had been a lifelong area resident and fro several years, was employed by Lowe Brothers Paint Company, managing stores in Urbana, Elyria, Springfield, Ohio and Springfield, Illinois. He later became a self-Employed contractor, installing carpet and vinyl floor coverings and wall coverings through out Clark, Champaign and surrounding counties. He was a member of the Elks B P O E Number 465 of Elyria, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 451 and the American Legion Post 120 of Urbana, the Amvets post 39, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie Lodge 3615 and the Moose Lodge 1533 of Lakeview. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps and served in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Vivian E. (RAMSEY) WILLAIMSON, whom he married August 19, 1950; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Holly) RITTENHOUSE, Claire N. WILLIAMSON and Mrs. Timothy (Robin) GIBSON; four grandchildren, Brittany and Douglas HURST, Audry and Sarah GIBSON; three sisters, Mrs. Norman (Carol) MCCLURE, Mrs. Harvey (Marcia) HADDIX, AND Mary Jane WILLIAMSON, al of Springfield; one brother, Richard H. WILLIAMSON of Centerville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Jackson, Lytle & Coffman Funeral Home. Marjorie T. HELTON, 78, of Springfield, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Thursday in Mercy Medical Center, after one year of failing health. She was born in Jamestown, Ohio on February 16, 1912, the daughter of George C. and Pearl (CUSHWA) TOLAND. She retired from Rike's in Dayton in 1972. She is survived by one brother, Clyde, of Jamestown, three nieces, Mrs. Donald (Georgia) GLASS, Mrs. David (Marjie) WELLS, and Mrs. Merle (Toby) BAKER, all of Springfield; two nephews, Carl TOLAND of Sharonville, Ohio and James RYAN of Bellbrook, Ohio. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Powers Funeral Home in Jamestown. Burial in Jamestown Cemetery. He had retired from Brown and Kroger of Dayton, where he worked as a printer. He then worked part time at Columbia Gas, as well as Esterline Manufacturing. He was a World War II Navy veteran and served in the Pacific Theatre as a radar technician. He was an avid bowler and fisherman and a member of Faith in Christ Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Maxine (HODGSON); one daughter and son-in-law, Judy an d John HAMILTON of Springfield; two sisters, Mabel HARNER of Odessa, Texas and Elnora REMLEY of Monroe, Michigan; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchild ren; and several nieces and nephews. He was born on October 13, 1936 in Dekalb County, Indiana, the son of Levi and Agnes (SHULL) MERCER. Clayton was a 1954 graduate of Southeastern High School, and was a elder emeritus of Grape Grove Church of Christ, where he had been an active member for approximately 40 years. He was the retired village manager of South Charleston after 14 � years and farmed in the Greene and Clark County areas for the first 18 years of his married life. He was a charter member of the Ross Grange, a member of the Southwestern Ohio Officials Association, and the South Charleston Community Club. Survivors include wife, Elizabeth Ann (MCFARLAND) MERCER, whom he married on June5, 1954; three children, Vicky Lynn and son-in-law, David M. Long time Logan County educator, supervisor and coach Paul C EVILSIZOR died this morning, Feb 11, 1991 at Mary Rutan Hospital at the age of 75. Mr. Evilsizor retired as an elementary supervisor for the Logan County Schools in 1978 after 41 years in the field of education, including 22 in the county office. He was born March 31, 1915, in Springfield, the son of the late Clement E. and Urba Mae (WALKER) EVILSIZOR. He was graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1933 and received his BA degree from Holbrook College in 1937. Mr. Evilsizor attended Wittenburg College and Cedarville College and earned a master's degree in education from the University of Cincinnati in1952. He served four years in the United States Air Force in the European theater in 1941-1945 and was discharged with the rank of Captain. On April 6, 1943, he married Mary SHUMAKER in Borne, Mass, and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs John (Scarlett) KINNEY of Rushsylvania and Mrs Gayle (Nancy) BRADDS of Beavercreek; a sister, Nellie STRATTON of Springfield, and four grandchildren, Troy and Deanna KINNEY and Griffen and Nathan BRADDS. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Millard and Norman; and a sister, Esther GERHARDT. Mr. Evilsizor's teaching experiences include Rome High School in 1937-41, where he taught grades 7 and 8 and also coached; Zanesfield High School from 1945 to 1952, where he taught science and history and coached; and in the Bellefontaine City Schools in 1952-56 as a fifth and sixth-grade teacher. He coached the Zanesfield Indians to the regional boys basketball tournament in 1950. He was a member and charter president of the Bellefontaine Lions Club. Other memberships include the Ohio School Supervisors Association, in which he held all offices including the presidency, the Ohio Education Association, and he was a past member of the National Education Association. He served on committees that founded the Ohio Hi-Point Joint Vocational School and on the boards of Logan County TB Association, the United Fund and Weekday Religious Education. He also served as secretary/treasurer of the Logan County Athletic Association Committee and West Central Ohio Conference Committee from 1957 to 1984, supervising and directing all athletic events. A member of the Bellefontaine First United Methodist Church, he was an assistant Sunday School superintendent and taught the Aimwell Sunday School Class for many years. The Revs Michael Mahoney and Samuel T Rorer III will conduct funeral services Thursday at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in West Liberty Fairview Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Daryle (Bruce) FOSTER; two step-children, Bonnie HAHN and Debra BRUCE of Springfield; two sons, Tyson HAHN-FOSTER and Charles FOSTER of Virginia; a daughter, Viola BEEMER of Springfield; three sisters, Stella JOHNSON of Williston, Florida, Mildred and her husband George ELY of Mount Holly, New Jersey, and Emma and her husband, Harold ASHLEY of Trenton, New Jersey. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold S. FOSTER, Sr., in April 1988 and a sister, Hilda. Private visitation will be held at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Mary 5 at 11 a.m. in the mausoleum chapel of Rose hill Burial Park with Rev. Dr. Donald Way of the Dayton Baptist Temple officiating. At his request, his body will be cremated. Inurnment will follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum. Arrangements are being directed by the Woods-Allgier Funeral Home.

Virginia Ruth (PERROTT) GORDON, 89, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, February 29, 1992 at 1 p.m. in Good Shepherd Village. She was born on January 30, 1993 in Daton, Oho, the daughter of Stanford J. and Mary Esther (GARDNER) PERROTT. Mrs. GORDON was a 1924 graduate of Wittenberg College. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Fortnightly Music Club, Dirt Garden Club and the Rolling Fields Garden Club. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Robert (Mary Ellen) "Meg" HENSON of Springfield; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, James and Gloria HENSON of Ormond beach, Florida, Mark and Jeanne HENSON of Springfield; six great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one sister-in-law, Elsie R. PERROTT of Seattle, Washington; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. GORDON in 1970 and one brother, Orrin PERROTT in 1983. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Littleton Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Dean A. Elam of First United Church of Christ officiating. Friends may cal from 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be directed to the First United Church of Christ Student Loan Fund.

Cecil G. MENDENHALL, 84, of 705 West Jefferson Street, New Carlisle, Ohio, died Saturday, February 29, 1992 at 8:45 p.m. in Mercy Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of New Carlisle and a retired civil service employee of Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He attended the First Baptist Church of New Carlisle and was a member of the New Carlisle Senior Citizens. He was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam S. MENDENHALL on November 14, 1986, a son, Richard, a grandson, David Lee, and a brother and sister. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Delores and William VOORHEES of new Carlisle, five grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, March 4 at 10 a.m. in the Trostel, Chapman and Christmas Funeral Home, New Carlisle with Rev Rick Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Glen haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
