Mrs. Grace M. JUNG, 73, of 900 E. Rose Street, died of a heart attack at 3:30 p.m. Monday while visiting her son, Edward, at 662 Reading Drive. She was the widow of Joseph JUNG. Mrs. JUNG was born in Springfield August 21, 1881, and had been a resident here all her life. She was a member of St. Bernard Church. Survivors include the son, Edward, and a daughter, Mrs. Mary CAMPBELL, also of Springfield; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the O'Brien-Kenney Funeral Home where friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Last rites will be conducted at 8 a.m. Thursday in St. Bernard Church, and burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Born in Highland County on Jan 24, 1885, he was a son of Fillmore and Austa FERGUSON EUBANKS. He had been a resident of Springfield and North Hampton for many years. Mr Eubanks was a former contractor in Clark County. He was a member of Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church. He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Christiansburg. Survivors are his widow, Nell C; one son, Lawrence LEFFLER of Oklahoma City, Okla; several grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Glendon MICHAEL of Springfield, three brothers, Thomas and Perce, both of Springfield, and Willard of Urbana, Route 4 and several nieces and nephews. His body was taken to the Littleton funeral home where friends may call from 4 pm Thursday until time of services at 2 pm. The Rev E E Koepp, pastor of Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church, will officiate, and burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.

Harold EVILSIZOR, 56, an employee of the International Harvester Co the last 20 years, died at 10 a.m. Saturday in City hospital. He lived at 335 � W Main St and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a former member of the Reformed Church of Tremont City. Survivors are three sisters, Mrs Bertha HARRIS and Mrs Geneva WILLIAMS , both of Springfield and Mrs Christine DORIUS,Los Angeles, Calif. His body was removed to the Richards Memorial Home, where friends may call from Sunday evening until time of services, 2:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev Emerson Fox as the officiating clergyman. Harold B. South, Acme Electric Co-Owner, Dies
Harold B. South 55, co-owner of the Acme Electric Co. at 25 S. Yellow Springs St. died unexpectedly at 6 p.m. Friday in his residence, New Carlisle, Route 3. He had been ill only a few days. A native of Columbus, Mr. South had been in partnership with Henry McCurdy in the electrical business for nine years. He had resided most of his lifetime in Clark County. Mr. South was a member of the National Electricians Association and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. In 1951, Mr. South was Clark County champion of the Springfield Gun Club. Born August 6, 1900, he was a son of Samuel and Josephine Heller South. Surviving are his widow, Stella; one son, Jimmie, and two daughters, Janice Ann and Joan Kay at home. His body was taken to Richards Memorial Home.

Mr. BOWERS was born Sept. 17, 1896, in Amanda, 0., the son William H. and Nancy C. Wylie Bowers. He had lived most of his life in Springfield and Clark County. At the time of his death, Mr. BOWERS was a foreman in the web press department at the Crowell-Collier Publishing Co. plant. He entered the employment of firm as a floor sweeper shortly after completing his grade school education. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Churh and of Red Star Lodge, No.203, Knights of Pythias. Survivors include his widow, Edna L.; three daughters, Mrs Phillip STANLEY, Mrs. Charles EFFINGHAM, both of Springfield, and Martha Jane BOWERS, at home; four sons, Ray E. of Enon, Rober L., William F., both of Springfield, and Terry M. at home; one sister, Mrs Clarence DIXON of Springfield; and nine grandchildren. The body was taken to the Littleton funeral home where services have been set for 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Officiating will be the Rec. C. Pearl E. REYNOLDS, 58, of 1667 Summit st. died suddenly in his home at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday following a six-month illness. He had been employed for 39 years by Robbins and Myers, Inc., as an assembler, and was a member of Local 902, UAW-CIO. Mr. REYNOLDS was born in Sabina, O., Oct. 10, 1897, the son of Isaiah and Amanda Jane HODGE REYMOLDS. He had spent most of his life in Springfield. Survivors include his widow, Helen M.; two sons, Harold of Springfield, and Jon W. REYNOLDS of Miami, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou BRUGGER, also of Springfield and two sisters, Mrs. Dora ANDERSON and Mrs. Almeda NELSON, both of Springfield. In addition there are five grandchildren. The body was taken to the Richards memorial Home where last rites have been set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

Mrs. Helen E. OLEN, 77, died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in Rickly Memorial Hospital of the Ohio Masonic Home. Mrs. POLEN was born in Guernsey County June 6, 1878. She entered the Masonic Home Oct. 21, 1953, sponsored by Magnolia Lodge No. 20, F. and A.M., of Columbus. Her husband, Craig B., a passenger conductor on the Pennsylvania Railroad, died in 1936. Mrs. POLEN is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Margaret A. RHOADES of Harrisburg, Pa., and Mrs. Martha A ROACH of Parkersburg, W. Va. The body was taken to the Littleton funeral home and will be sent to the Lindsey funeral home in Denison, O., for services. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville, O.

YEAZEL, 60, of 206 Parkwood Av., who was employed as a clerk at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base until she became ill two days ago, died unexpectedly at 4:20 a.m. Sunday in Mercy Hospital. A resident of Springfield for 42 years, Mrs. YEAZEL was born in Chicago on Feb. 27, 1895, a daughter of George and Mary MORE BLACKMER. Mrs. YEAZEL'S husband, Williams Leonard YEAZEL, died 12 years ago. She was a member of Emery Chapel Church; Home City Chapter No. 258, Order of Eastern Star; Manito No. 27, White Shrine of Jerusalem; Victory Court Order f Amaranth; Fidelia Rebekah Lodge; and Modern Temple No. 433, Pythian Sisters. Survivors include one son, Donald E. GRINDLE of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Donald R. LOGSTON who resides with her husband at an airbase in Puerto Rico; four grandchildren; one niece; two stepsons, Harry YEAZEL of Jeffersonville and Edward YEAZEL of San Fernando, Calif. Her body was taken to the Littleton funeral home.

He was admitted to the hospital Sunday morning. Born in Van Wert on September 25, 1892, he was a son of Forest and Mary SLANE DINGLEDINE. Mr. DINGLEDINE had been a resident of Springfield for a number of years and was employed for 25 years by the Springfield Manufacturing Co. Survivors are his widow, Grace; two sons, Harold and Pearl, both of Springfield; three brothers, Lawrence, James and Leland all of Lima; two grandchildren. His body was taken to the Richards memorial Home.

A. Clinton GORDON, 73, of 135 Gordon Rd., died suddenly at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday in his residence as a result of a heart attack. Born in Clark County May 12, 1882, he was a son of William R. and Sarah GRISSO GORDON. He was a lifelong resident of this county. Mr. GORDON was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors are his widow, Sarah R.; four sons, Blair and Robert, both of Clark County, the Rev. Edwin C. GORDON of Zanesville, and Paul E. of Vandalia; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home where friends may call from Wednesday evening until 10 a.m. Friday. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Gray in charge. The body will lie in state for one hour preceding the time of services. Burial will be in Vail Cemetery.

Rev. Russell C. MOON - Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Turner and Miller funeral home in Hillsboro for the Rev. Russell C. MOON, 78, former pastor in Springfield and a number of area Methodist Churches. The Rev. Mr. MOON died Wednesday in Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Services also will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Methodist Church in Martinsville, his native village. The Rev. Mr. MOON, who retired in 1945, suffered a heart attack in his home early Wednesday. He was known as a composer of religious songs, children's tunes and romantic music. He refused to capitalize on the songs although many were published. The Rev. Mr. MOON served as pastor of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Springfield for four years. He began his ministry in Highland County in 1908. He also served as pastor in churches in Warren, Preble, Montgomery and Putnam Counties. Surviving are his wife, Blanche; three daughters, Mrs. Mary STOCKSLAGER and Mrs. Dorothy SONDERGELT, both of Xenia, and Lucy MOON of St. Petersburg, Fla., and a son, A. J. MOON of Upper Sandusky.

Dr. Myron O. TRIPP, 81, former Wittenberg college professor of mathematics, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday in a local rest home. He was on the Wittenberg faculty from 1921 to 1938. Dr. TRIPP contributed articles to mathematical and education journals and was active in national mathematical societies. He was born March 18, 1874 near Grand Haven, Mich. He was graduated from the Sodus, New York Academy, and earned..(rest of obit cut off).

MALONE of Chicago, Ill., former Springfield resident and daughter of the late Edward WREN, founder of the Edward WREN Store, died Wednesday night in Grant Hospital in Chicago, after an illness of about one year. Born in Springfield, Mrs. MALONE was the former Alice WREN. She and her family moved from Springfield to Chicago about 10 years ago. Survivors include her husband, James, an attorney well known in Springfield for his civic interests; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret KEPLER of Chicago; a son, Wren MALONE, of Chicago; three brothers, Edward WREN and Thomas WREN, both of Dayton and Dr. Wray WREN of New York City; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Chicago and burial will be in Dixon, Ill.

Page 1. Carl MARTIN, 71, former assistant postmaster here, died at 6:45 p.m. Friday in the St. Rita Hospital in Lima, following a one-week illness. Mr. MARTIN retired as a local postal employee in April of 1948 and moved to Tecumseh Island, Indian Lake, where he resided at the time of his death. He entered service at the Springfield Post office as a substitute clerk on Oct. 1, 1909, and was appointed a regular clerk on Oct. 17, 1910. July 1917, he was made a special clerk and served in that capacity until he became assistant superintendent of mails in charge of city delivery on Jan. 5, 1931. Mr. MARTIN held the assistant postmastership from February of 1942 until his retirement in 1948. A native of Fayette County, he had resided most of his life in Springfield. He was a member of Clifton Avenue Methodist Church and Anthony Lodge No. 455, F. and A. M. One of Mr. Martin's most treasured possessions was a report signed in 1917 by James NASH, then superintendent of mails. The report read: "Your rating for distribution of letters is 100 per cent. During the time tests were made, you cased 400 letters in seven and one-half minutes, or an average of 53 1/2 per minute." Born Dec. 14, 1884, he was a son of James B. and Anna SMITH MARTIN. Surviving are his widow, Ada; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie WOLLAM, Mrs. J. L. FERRIS and Mrs. P. E. STICKROD, and two brothers, Earl MARTIN and R. B. MARTIN, all of Springfield. He had been in failing health several years and seriously ill four days. Mr. CALDWLL has spent much of his life as a farmer and at one time had been a truck gardener at Dialton. Born in Wellston Jan 30, 1875, he died on his birthday anniversary. A member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church at North Hampton, he was a resident of the North Hampton community virtually his entire life. After his retirement some years ago he retained his ownership of a 60-acre farm on the Laybourne rd. Mr. LAYBOURNE's wife, Mary, died here in 1949. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June, 1942. Survivors include two sons, Oscar of Springfield, Route 5, and Walter of Springfield; three daughters, Mrs. Miles PINNEY, Mrs. Roger REBERT and Mrs. Roland A. George W. HARSHMAN, 61, son of a pioneer Clark County family, died Friday at 9 p.m. in Mercy Hospital. He had been a resident for the past three years at a rest home on Mr. Vernon av. He was the son of Jonathon and Mary SNYDER HARSHMAN, and was born July 4, 1895, near Enon. Prior to entering the local rest home, Mr. HARSHMAN was a loan adjuster for the Veterans Administration with offices in Cincinnati. He had made Cincinnati his home for a number of years. He was injured seriously in 1949 when the Great Lakes Canadian line Noronic burned in the harbor at Toronto. His wife, the former Betsy SOUTHGATE HARSHMAN, died in the catastrophe which claimed the lives of 119. In the late 1930's Mr. HARSHMAN was employed by the Kissell Real Estate Co. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Annie H. HUFFMAN of Dayton, and Mrs. Virginia DILLARD of Springfield. In addition there are two nephews, Jonathan Harshman HOLLAND of Springfield, and George HUFFMAN of Dayton and one niece, Mrs. Mary MCKEE HUFFMAN, Dayton. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Newport, Ky., Methodist Church. His body was taken to the Littleton funeral home.

William G. BADER, 67, of 115 N. Greenmount av., one of five musically-minded brothers, died at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday in Mercy Hospital, following a lengthy illness. He had been critically ill for five days. Mr. BADER and three of his brothers, Russell, Percy and Lewis, now all of Springfield, traveled throught the nation at one time or another connected with some musical organization. John, the fifth brother, is a printer in Detroit. William, the eldest of the brothers, traveled with the Hagenback and Wallace Circus for several years, also played his trombone and horn with the Robbins and Myers Band, the Marine Corps Band, the Ohio Fourth Infantry Band and with orchestras at the Regent Theater and the old Band Box. In more recent years, he had been employed by the New York Central System, giving this up a year ago because of illness. His brothers, Russell, Percy and Lewis, all traveled with top-ranking circuses, and did stints with orchestras, mostly in the Midwest. �He was the son of John D. and Belle THOMPSON BADER, born March 13, 1889, in Harper, Kan. He had lived in Springfield for the last 39 years. He was a member of the Clifton Avenue Methodist Church. In addition to his four brothers and his mother, Mr. BADER is survived by his widow, Edythe; a son, Charles D. of Springfield; three daughters, Mrs. Juanita R. WHITAKER of Springfield, Mrs. Wilma M. WILSON, also of Springfield and Mrs. Anna L. JOHNSON of Dayton. In addition there are two sisters, Mrs. Mary FENNESSY and Mrs. Nona LEICHNER, both of Springfield. Following an investigation, Dr. C.E. Thompson, Champaign County coroner, gave the cause of death as heart disease. Born in Miami County, Mr. BRIGHT was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam BRIGHT. Surviving besides his widow, Rose, are two daughters, Mrs. Henrietta RHOME and Mrs. Lillian MCKEE, both of Springfield, and 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. His body was taken to the Richards memorial Home.

Jesse Warren WHITE, 75, a retired machinist, died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday in his residence, 1203 S. Belmont av. He had been in failing health four years and seriously ill three weeks. Mr. WHITE was an employee of the Elliott Co. when he retired in January of 1951. Previously he operated the White Maytag Sales Co., here. He was a member of Central Methodist Church. A native of Springfield, Ill., Mr. WHITE had resided in this city most of his lifetime. He was born August 15, 1881, and was a life member of the American Trapshooters Association. Surviving are his widow, Charlotte; three-daughters, Mrs. Marjorie HESS of Springfield, Mrs. Ruth PREAG and Mrs. Charlotte CIRCLE, both of Dayton; two sons, Robert of Springfield and William of Dayton; a brother Charles of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His body was taken to Richards Memorial Home, where friends may call from Monday noon until time of services there, 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, in charge of the Rev. Glade McClish, associate pastor of Central Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
