A 56 year resident of Springfield, Mrs. PECK was the wife of Enos PECK. She died Saturday afternoon in the Burt Nursing Home after several years of illness.

Jesse J. WHITE, 77, of 411 W. Euclid av., was dead on arrival of the Fire Division emergency squad at his home at 5:11 p.m. Thursday of apparent natural causes. His death followed a lengthy illness. Mr. WHITE was a former employe of the International Harvester Co., a veteran of World War I and a member of St. Luke Baptist Church. He was born Sept. 5, 1893, in Homer, Fla., the son of Larkin and Sarah BRADLEY WHITE. Survivors include his wife, Edna: five sons, Eddie of Seattle, Wash., William of Columbus, Ezeal, Richard and James WHITE, all of Springfield; four daughters, Mrs. Pearl PETTIFORD, Mrsy Myrtle MASSIE, Mres Saundra HERROD and Mrs. Judy HERROD, all of Springfield; one brother, Freeman WHITE of Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Seebell POWELL of Springfield; a number of granchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. His body was taken to the Dennis L. Porter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ernest E. Mowen - Mrs. Blanche Mowen, 81, of 212 E. Downey Dr., died unexpectedly at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Mowen was born april 19, 1889 near North Hampton, the daughter of Emery and Jennie Dudley Callison, and was a member of the Emery Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ernest E; five daughters, Mrs. Harold P. (Janet) SMITH, Mrs. James E. (Glenna) WISE and Mrs. Forrest (Marjorie) MORGAN, all of Springfield, Mrs. Robert (Edna) HOLLINGER of DeGraff and Mrs. Floyd (Grace) ESCH of West Liberty; 17 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ethel BEELER of Springfield, and one niece, Mrs. Paul TIMMONS Sr., of Springfield. Mrs. Mowen was preceded in death by three sons and one daughter. Her body was taken to the Littleton Funeral Home for services at 1:30 p.m. Monday by the Rev. George R. Mrs Ruth MECHLIN CULP, 82, wife of Clifford B CULP of 1221 E High St died at 12:40 pm Monday in Community Hospital. She had been in failing health two years. She had retired along with her husband in September 1950 from office work at the International Harvester Co after 25 years of service. Mrs Culp was born here July 15, 1888, a daughter of James C and Emma ANDERSON MECHLIN. She was married to Mr Culp July 17, 1937, after a long time acquaintanceship in the Harvester accounting department. Beside her husband, survivors include one sister, Miss Nancy MECHLIN of Springfield; one brother Henry MECHLIN of Holmes Beach, FL; four nieces and one nephew. Her body was taken to the Woods Allgier Funeral HOme where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday. He was a retired employee of the Oliver Implement Co. His wife, Madge WASHBURN MERCER, preceded him in death in March 1966. Survivors include two sons, Paul and James, both of Springfield; one daughter Mrs Charles (Helen) WYATT of Springfield; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and three brothers, Milford of Springfield and Russell of Michigan and Carl of Fruitdale. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and was the widow of Robert SAUTER, who died in October, 1965. She is survived by a daughter, Miss Norma SAUTER of Springfield. Born in Springfield, Dec 11, 1880, the daughter of John and Ida DOLWICK WEGMAN, she lived in Springfield most of her life. She was a member of St Joseph Church, the Altar Rosary Sodality there. Springfield Business and Professional Women's Club, Golden Y of the YWCA and the Wright-Patterson employes retirement group. She lived with a niece, Mrs Marie WEBB, and is also survived by a nephew, Harry MARBLE of Hamilton, O, and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. William Elwood BRODBECK, 72, of 290 W Cecil St died Thursday morning in the Ridgewood Nursing Home following two years of failing health and two weeks of serious illness. He was born Sept 3, 1898, in Springfield , the son of Oren and Grace FLOOK BRODBECK. He was employed by the City of Springfield from April 1929 until he retired in September 1966. He was first employed in the Engineering Department and later put in charge of maintenance at the Springfield Water Works. He was a veteran of World Wars I and II, serving in the US Army from March 8, 1918 to May 9, 1919 in France, and from Aug 7, 1942, to Sept 22, 1944 in Panama. Survivors include his wife, Isabelle BAISINGER BRODBECK; his mother Grace BRODBECK; and a brother Kenneth, all of Springfield. Ex-Industrialist Ernest PARKER Dies Ernest A. PARKER of 227 E. McCreight ave., founder and former president of Springfield Aluminum Plate and Casting Co., died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the IOOF Home after two months of illness. He was 100. He retired in 1960, selling the firm to Holophane Co., Inc. He had spent much of his time since then gardening and fishing. A resident of Springfield for the past 90 years, he was born in Waltham Abbey, England, June 16, 1871, the son of William and Clara ADAMS PARKER. Interviewed on his 100th birthday recently, Mr. PARKER advised young people to "always try to live a decent life and life will be good to you." He was a member of Christadelphian Church. His wife, Clara died Dec. 18, 1964. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Alice) JONES of Springfield, Mrs. H.A. (Dorothy) PIETZNER of Evansville, Ind., and Mrs. G.H. (Gertrude) PROSSER of Asheville, N.C.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home.
