Coroner Schaeffer was called at 5 o'clock yesterday evening to the home of George and Elizabeth LORTON at the rear of No 5 engine house, where their little 5 month old daughter, Mabel, had died suddenly and unattended in her cradle. The child had been ill five weeks and the parents being Christian science people considered the services of a physician unneccessary, believing as they stated to the coroner, that if it was the will of the Lord, that the child should die, the services of a physician could not benefit it. The coroner has not come to any decision in the matter and a post mortem may yet be necessary to determine the cause of death. The funeral services will occur from the house Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Interment at Vale cemetery. Information submitted by Marilyn Hansen, GNEOLOG@aol.com
