Raymond L. JUNG, 79, of Lima, Ohio, a former Springfield resident, died Sunday, June 14, 1992 in Lima. He was born on December 20, 1912, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (USTLER) JUNG. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Lima, the Knight of Columbus, and the Lima and Quarter Century Club of Ohio Steel Foundry. He was the supervisor of the Standards Department at Teledyne Ohio Steel Foundry for 43 years, retiring in 1977. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Louise (LEARY) JUNG; one son, Thomas R. JUNG of Springfield; one daughter, Mary Louise JUNG of Lima; one sister, Dorothy POLLOCK of Colton, California. Visitation will be held in Lima on Monday. His body will be brought to the Conroy Funeral Home on Tuesday where visitation will be held from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Teresa Catholic Church. He was born in Springfield, September 7, 1912, the son of Thomas A. and Rena (MILLER) DUFFY. He was the former owner of the General Specialities Roofing and Siding Company, at the time of his retirement, he was employed by Mitchell Motors, Incorporated. He had been active in the Boys Scouts of America, Civil Air Patrol, and was an officer in the Ohio Defense Corps. He was a 45 year member of the Anthony Lodge 455, the Shawnee Chapter of the Royal Arch masons, a past Patron of Home City Chapter 258. He was a charter member of the Valley View Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Bernice L. (BYERMAN) DUFFY, whom he married on September 7, 1935; a daughter and son in law, Susan L. (DUFFY) and George MITCHELL of Urbana; a son and daughter in law (Thomas E. and Suzanne (QUAYLE) DUFFY, Jr., of LaJolla, California; a son, David A. DUFFY is deceased. Other survivors include a brother and sister in law, John D. and Joan DUFFY of Dayton; a brother James P. DUFFY of Springfield; a granddaughter, Susan B. MITCHELL of Urbana; a grandson, Joseph T. R. He was a Sergeant of the Springfield Policy Division, with 29 years of service, retiring in 1990. He was an Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War. Larry was a member of the Highlands United Church of Christ where he served on the Board of Trustees, Church Choir and Fair Committee. He was also a member of the Northridge Lions Club and was top rose salesman for many years; Fraternal Order of Eagles of Springfield; Knights of Pythias Ingomar Lodge Number 610; Fraternal Order of Police; Susan Kramer Liver Transplant Fund Committee and was coach in the Northridge Little League. His survivors include his foster parents Roderick and Maxine STEVENS of St. Paris; two daughters, Cynthia COZAD and Cheryl COZAD, both of Columbus; one son, Lawrence L. COZAD of Springfield; a number of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as Scoutmaster of Troop Number 38 for many years. He was a member of Anthony Lodge Number 455 F and AM, an Auxiliary Deputy Sheriff under several administrations, the Southwestern Police and Sheriff Association and served for many years with Mall Patrol. Survivors include his wife, Helen (KIRKPATRICK), whom he married January 1, 1934; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Bonnie GARBER and Larry and Phyllis GARBER all of Springfield; also four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. SETTY was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II and a member of the American Legion Post Number 21 of Athens, Ohio. Survivors include his wife, Betty K (MCKNIGHT) of 50 years; three sosn, Jim of Zanesville, Oho, William of Menford, Ohio and Robert of Lancaster, Ohio; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; on sister, Mrs. Howard Thelma) RUST of Jefferson, Kentucky; also many nieces and nephews. He was born December 1, 1909 in Holmesville, Ohio, the son of Lawrence and Emma (SNYDER) LECKY. On June 23, 1940, he married Mary Jane REESE who survives. He had made his home in Springfield for most of his life and was owner/operator of several service stations. He was a member of Spartan Lodge 126 (F&AM) of Millersburg a 32nd Degree mason, a member of Antioch Temple Shrine of Dayton, Ohio, Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton, the Springfield Shrine Club, and Khana Shahar Cerotto. He was a member of the High Street Methodist Church in Springfield. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, William LECKY of Milllersburg; three grandchildren; two sisters, Jesse WOODRUFF of Holmesville, Ohio and Anna MORRIS of Canton, Ohi. One brother, Homer, died previously. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg, Ohio with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Prairie Township Cemetery in Holmesville, Ohio.
