John A. McLean, 70, formerly of the Shawnee Apartments, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday in Mercy Medical Center. His death followed six months of failing health. He was born Feb. 13, 1912, in Joplin, Mo., a son of Fred L. and Lillian E. Ostermann McLean and had resided in Springfield most of his life. He had been employed as a mechanic for the Springfield Bus Co. for over 20 years and at the J.C. Penney Auto Center for 10 years, retiring in 1977. Mr. McLean was a member of the St. Raphael Catholic Church, the Holy Trinity Prayer Group and the Ohio Railway Museum, Worthington. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. William (Roselyn) Kiefer, Rochester, Mich., Mrs. George (Florence) Gibson, Springfield; three brothers, Edward J. of Dayton, William T. and Robert F., both of Springfield; a number of nieces and nephews. His wife, Dorothy, died in 1976. Three brothers, Fred, Frank and Joseph, and a sister, Mary Jung are deceased. His body was taken to the Conroy Funeral Home where friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. A visitation service is set for 8 p.m. Tuesday. A mass will be sung at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Raphael's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Floyd C. McGee, 64, of 1321 Student Ave., died at 10:13 a.m. Saturday in Community Hospital following one year of serious illness. He lived in Springfield for 40 years, was a retired tavern owner and operator for over 36 years. Mr. McGee was a member of First Christian Church, and Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie No. 397. He was born in Glouster, June 21, 1917, a son of Addison and Alta Bethel McGee. Survivors include his wife, Viola DeLong McGee; a son, Gary L. of Springfield; three daughters, Mrs. John (Marlene) Gilmartin, Springfield, Mrs. Michael (Debra) Fabish and Miss Karen McGee, Greensboro, N.C.; a brother Eldon of Springfield; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Grovensor, Springfield; two grandsons; three granddaughters. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Austin Richards and Raff Memorial Home. He attended Bluffton College, and was a World War I Army veteran, serving in England and France. Mr. SCHRYER was a life member of the Missionary Church of New Carlisle. Survivors include his wife, Gae; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley WAGNER, Tipp City; a son, Lawrence E. of New Carlisle, and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends in the Austin Richards and Raff Memorial Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, with the Womens Auxiliary of the V.F.W. holding services at 7 p.m. and the Antioch Chapter No. 455 O.E.S. at 7:30. Services will be conducted in the Enon Knob Prairie United Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. John Konz, the Rev Kent Knife, and the Rev. Steven Ailes officiating. Interment will be in the Enon Cemetery.

Katherine F. DOLWICK, 57, of 4 Harshman Blvd., died at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday in the University Hospital, Columbus. She was born January 20, 1925, in Urbana, a daughter of Francis A. and Edna (VIETS) LEWIS. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Champion No. 397 Auxiliary, Springfield District Women's Bowling Assoc. where she served as Sergeant of Arms, and the First United Church of Christ. She is survived by one daughter, Karen F. of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. (Deke) DOLWICK in 1977. Her body was taken to the Littleton Funeral Home where friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home in charge of the Rev. Dr. Dean Elam of the First United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Urbana.
