Harvey M. GRISSO, 75, of 1505 Hyannis Dr., died at 2:30 a.m. Monday in Mercy Medical Center. He was a life resident of Clark County, born February 1, 1902, the son of Elias and Elizabeth LAUGHLIN GRISSO. He was a retired farmer and former co-owner of the Ripley-Grisso Auto Co. Mr. GRISSO was a member of the First Church of the Brethren and the Clark County Farm Bureau. Survivors include his wife, Marie BARNHART GRISSO; one daughter, Mrs. David (Evelyn) SMITH, Vasilia, Calif.; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Della FRIEND, North Hampton, and several nieces and nephews. His body was taken to the Littleton Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the First Church of the Brethren.

Mrs. Carmella Hornberger, 88, of 1838 S. Fountain av., died at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday in the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Carmella Cooley, 2349 W. Jackson rd. She had been ill for several months. She was born in Springfield, June 29, 1888, and resided here all of her life. She had been employed as a long-distance supervisor with the Ohio Bell Telephone Co., for 33 years, retiring several years ago. She was a member of the Pioneers Club of Ohio Bell. Survivors, in addition to her daughter, include one son, William of Tipp City; one half-brother, Karl Rigio, Springfield; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Her husband, Conrad, died in 1919, and a son, James, died in 1969. Her body was taken to the Conroy Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Ferncliff Cemetery in charge of the Rev. R.R. Garrett, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Allie M. FORBECK, 90 of 3900 Fowler Rd. died in Community Hospital at1:15 p.m. Tuesday following a six week illness. Mrs. FORBECK had been a resident of this area all her life. She was born in Clark county June 24, 1886, a daughter of John and Bertha SPARROW GRAM. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.Henry E. (Ruth) BREWER, with whom she resided; a son Carl C. of Enon, two brothers Elwood "Pete" GRAM, Crystal Lakes and Roy of Springfield; three sisters, Mrs. Lulu TEMPLE, Mrs. Bess HART and Mrs. Marie RINKER all of Springfield; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her husband Clifford died in 1949. Services will be in the Littleton Funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Kent Knife of Knob Prairie United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in the Enon Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Carrie B. GRINDLE, 88, of 4924 Limrick rd., died in Mercy Medical Center at 12:20 p.m. Friday following one week of illness. She was born March 2, 1889, in Greene County, the daughter of Isaac and Etta BOTKINS DOLWICK. Mrs. GRINDLE, who had lived in Clark County the past nine years, was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Clifton. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Goldie PULLIN with whom she lived, Mrs. Margaret WEAVER of Lakeview, Mrs. Eula SEYLOR of Bucyrus and Mrs. Etta SITES of Spencerville, Ind.; six sons, Chester of Seamon, O., George and Norman, both of Middletown, Marion of Germantown, Marvin of Port Huron and James of Yellow Springs; two sisters, Evelyn DOLWICK and Mrs. Florence SITES, both of Springfield. Her husband, George, died Feb. 10, 1975. A son, Howard, is also deceased. Her body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home. He was born April 13, 1928 in Quincy, Ky., the son of Thurman and Hannah WHITE JORDAN and had resided in Clark County for the past 26 years. He was an employe of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Vondy; two sons, Daniel of Dayton and Darrell of Springfield; two daughters, Susan and Rhonda, both at home; one granddaughter; his father of Quincy, Ky.; three brothers, Waynard and Homer, both of Chardon, O., Loil of Quincy, Ky,; five sisters, Emma FARREN, Phoenix, Ariz., Marjorie CRAWFORD, Sciotoville, O., Dorothy GOODSON, Quincy, Ky., Marjorie ARMSTRONG, West Palm Beach, Fla., and Odie HANNER, Columbus. He was born July 2, 1899, in Sandy Hook, Ky., a son of James and Bell THORNSBERRY. Survivors include one son, Billy R. of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. J. D. (Evelena) PERRY, Frenchburg, Ky.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The Rev. Taylor Cantrell, pastor of the Freewill Baptist Church, will conduct services at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Wood-Allgier Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Mrs. Robert C. SEVERS. Mrs. Helen E. SEVERS, 69, of 3881 Troy rd., died unexpectedly at 12:35 p.m. Thursday in Mercy Medical Center. She had undergone surgery recently. She was born in Clark County, May 4, 1908, a daughter of Wilbert and Lavina WILSON and had lived in the county most of her life. She was a member of the Lawrenceville United Church of Christ, its Builders Class and the Ladies Aid Society. She was a retired employe of the Springfield Post Office, and had been employed there for 17 years. Mrs. SEVER had operated a bakery at Wittenberg for many years. Survivors include her husband to whom she was married Nov. 9, 1929; two sons, Carl of Lawrenceville and Donald of North Hampton five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ear (Alice) GRAY, South Charleston, and Mrs. Kenneth (Evelyn) YOUNGS, Urbana; and two brothers, Willis and Fremont WILSON, both of West Liberty. A sister, Edna TOWLER, is dead. The Rev. James E. Altenbaumer, pastor of Lawrenceville United Church of Christ, and Rev. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs Richard (Leona) PATTON and Mrs Edward (Lucille) DRAPE, both of Springfield, and Mrs Harold (Louise ) MITCH of London; a son, John of Springfield; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Oliver (Susan) HAULMAN and Mrs Howard (Stella) BAILEY, both of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Arthur, died in August 1976, and a daughter Betty Roberta TREGO, in November 1975. Mr. VOLLMER was a member of St. Mary's Church and Fraternal order of Eagles Aerie No. 397. He was a veteran of World War II, during which he served with the Army. Survivors include his wife, Sue Ann; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Martha) WIEDEKE, Mrs. John (Irene) MARTIN and Mrs. Thomas (Angela) LAUDERMILK, and several nieces and nephews. His body was taken to the O'Brien-Kenney Funeral Home.

She was a former resident of Springfield, but was born in Ironton, O. on Jan. 5, 1910, the daughter of Charles and Effie SMILEY. For 25 years she was the buyer of women's sportswears for Carmens Department Store before retiring in 1964. She was a member of the Senior Citizens and Women's Club of Indian Lake. Survivors include her husband, John V.; one son, Col. Jack SALLEE, stationed with the U. S. Army in Washington, D. C.; two grandchildren and several neices and nephews. Her body was taken to Littleton Funeral Home.

Laurence Frederick BAUER, 81, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla, died at 1:50 a.m. Friday in the Broward General Hospital there. He was born March 29, 1896, in Columbus, O., the son of Herman F. Elizabeth KNOSPIE BAUER. He retired in 1973 as police captain with the Lancaster Police Department and as an inspector for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in 1958. He was a member of the Lancaster Veteran's Foreign Wars and American Legion, 50-year member of the Lancaster Lodge No. 57, F.A.M., Valley of Columbus Scottish Rite, Commandry No. 2, K. P. in Lancaster, Council No. 88, Lancaster Chapter No. 11, R.A.M., and Aladdin Temple Shrine of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Anna; three sons, Lawrence H. of Parksville, Mo., George W. of Springfield, and Robert H. of Davie, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Kathryn E. BIBBEE of Springfield; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His body was taken to Littleton Funeral Home, where arrangements are pending.

She was born April 5, 1919 in Johnson County, Ky, the daughter of Willie and Emma SPARKS. She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle. Survivors include two sons, Darrell and David HOLBROOK; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel HAYSLIP and Mrs. Maxine SIBOLE, al l of Springfield; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her body wa staken to the Littleton Funeral Home where friends may call ......Thursday. Services, Friday in the Faith Tabernacle with the Rev. Thomas McLane, pastor, in charge. Her body will lie in state there one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

He was assistant vice president of Citibank of New York City. He was born in Springfield, attended Hayward Junior High School, Springfield South High school and was graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in business administration in 1949. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, the former Helen HERDMAN of Nyak, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Cynthia LONG and Cara Lee ACKLEY; two sons, George and William and his mother, Mrs. George ACKLEY, Bellaire, Mich. Services will be held in Nyack, N.Y.

Born June7, 1921, in Springfield, she was a daughter of Edward and Ferry KETTLEHAKE, and was a waitress at the Kencheff Cafe and Star Lunch. Survivors include two sons, James MCCORMICK, with whom she resided, and Melvin WEST, both of Springfield; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Frances HANSEL, Columbus, Mrs. Mildred ROBERTSON, Tampa, Fla, and Mrs. Edith BOLES, Springfield, and several nieces and nephews. Her body was taken to the Littleton Funeral Home where friends may call......Thursday. Services Friday by the Rev. Floyd L. Wolfenbarger, pastor of the First Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

She was born Nov. 13, 1893, in Cleveland, and entered the Masonic Home Jan. 15, 1973, sponsored by the Ellbrook Lodge No. 634 F and A.M., of Ohio, she was a member of the Bookland Chapter No. 279, OES. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ann FOSNAUGH, Parma, and Mrs. Vivian SCHULZE, Blakewood. Her body was taken to the Littleton Funeral Home and will be sent to Cleveland for services and burial in the Brookmere Cemetery.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Ohio Masonic Home Chapel in charge of the Rev.. August Schneider, chaplain. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

STITZEL and Mrs. George W. POWELL, both of Hamilton, and Mrs. Ruth M. SCHWAB, Freemont, Calif. Her body was taken to the Jackson, Lytle and Coffman Funeral home. Services and burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.

Earl M. BRIGHT, 81, of 4460 Dayton Rd., died at his home at 4 p.m. Friday from an apparent heart attack while shoveling snow. Mr. BRIGHT was born Nov 16, 1896, in Miami County, O., the son of Harry A. and Margaret MARTIN BRIGHT. He had been employed as a maintenance man for the Springfield YWCA for some 32 years before retiring a number of years ago; prior to that time he had been a farmer. He was a 59-year member and a past master of Mt Olivet Lodge, F. and A.M., Christiansburg. Mr. BRIGHT, the last surviving member of his family, is survived by his wife, Lois KIRK BRIGHT, a daughter, Mrs. Robert R (Marcia) KIRKPATRICK, of Springfield, and eight grandchildren. A son, R. Kirk BRIGHT, died in 1970. His body was taken to the Littleton Funeral Home.
