Benson E. "Ben" TAYLOR , 61, of 722 Patrick Rd., died Friday morning in his residence. A lifelong resident of Springfield, he was born Aug. 25, 1921, a son of Ralph and Elizabeth TAYLOR . He was a retired employee of SPECO Division of Kelsey-Hayes. He attended the Hillside Avenue Church of God, St. Andrew's Lodge No. 619 F & AM, and was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (LOHNES) TAYLOR ; two sons, Norman H. CARTER and Dennis A. "Dan" CARTER, both of Springfield; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter; four brothers, John, Pensacola, Fla., Marlin, Springfield, Robert, Santa Barbara, Calif., and Eldon, Englewood, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in the Littleton Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl E. REYNOLDS, assistant pastor of the Hillside Avenue Church of God, officiating. burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. sunday in the funeral home, with St. Andrew's Lodge holding services a 7 p.m.

Ralph W. LONES, 84, of 315 Rice St., died in Community Hospital Friday at 7:30 a.m. following three months of serious illness. Mr. LONES was born June 7, 1895 in Milledgeville, O., a son of John and Harriett EVERGALL LONES . He was a former employee of the Springfield Metallic Casket Co., and the O.S. Kelly Co. He attended Blessed Hope Baptist Church, was a World War I veteran and member of Clark County Chapter No. 13 D.A.V. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy SHEPARD of Springfield and Mrs. Raymond (Florence) PARRISH of Cable; two sons, James K. with whom he resided, and Clifford, of Fruitport, Mich., 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ethel ROCKHOLD of Washington C.H.; one brother, Ernest of Bellefontaine; and several nieces and nephews. His wife, Minnie E., died Dec. 2, 1972. A daughter, Betty, also is deceased. Pioneer developer buried A memorial service for Clarence Kaler WILDASINN, one of the earliest land developers in Washington Twp., was held Monday. He was 86. Mr. WILDASINN's development of Brittany Hills, a subdivision of exclusive homes, won him recognition in Who's Who in the Midwest in 1970 and 1971. Beginning more than 40 years ago, he built more than 400 homes in Washington Twp. Mr. WILDASINN, who died Friday, became involved in developing the area after he started work 41 years ago on a replica of a French farm house like those he recalled from his military service in Europe during World War I. The house was built from salvage materials he collected at his wrecking company during the Depression. It first was designed as a summer house, but later was expanded and became his rambling homestead. Mr. WILDASINN built the home in Woodbourne, the town that was the original Dayton settlement in the late 1700's before its people moved closer to the Miami River to help develop commerce for the fledgling city. The two-story, brick, stone and half-timber home, with towers and an authentically sloped roof, now is a landmark on Whipp Road. Much of the adjacent land was developed by Mr. WILDASINN, including Woodbourne Village and other subdivisions in the Washington Twp. Area. Mr. WILDASINN was a native of Plattsburg, Ohio, who graduated from Dayton's Stivers High School and received a bachelor's of science degree (Engineering Degree) from Ohio State University. He served with the U.S. Artillery in World War I and as an engineering officer in the U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II. Mr. WILDASINN was a research scientist at NCR and the Charles F. Kettering Lab of General Motors Corp. He also was employed by Dayton Metal Products co., Delco Light Co. and the Domestic Engineering Co. He was affiliated with the National Association of Realtors, Association of Home Builders, Dayton Engineers Club and the American Legion. He was a member of the Mystic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Antioch Shrine. Mr. WILDASINN is survived by his wife Emy Lou J. (KUMLER) WILDASINN, four sons- Donald (Kumler), Bruce (Kaler), Frank (Franklin Abia Zeller) and Gregory (Fell)- and 15 grandchildren. Memorial services were held at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. As an adult, Clarence changed his last name from Wildasin to WILDASINN with an additional N. Clarence and his wife, Emy Lou (Emma Juana Kumler) WILDASINN are buried in David's Cemetery, Kettering, Ohio.

His body was taken to the Jackson, Lytle and Coffman Funeral Home where visitation will be held Thursday 7-9- p.m. Rev. Ullery will officiate at Graveside services to be held Friday in Enon Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Wayne V. BALCH, 72, of 3714 Johnson Road, died at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday, May 18 in Community Hospital. He was born in Ripley, W. VA., May 6, 1911, a son of Quincy A. and Mary (LANE) BALCH. He had lived in Springfield for the past 42 years. He was retired from Carmichael Machine Shop in 1977 and was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. He is survived by one son, Dale BALCH and one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Delores) ENTLER, both of Springfield; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fern, in 1974 and three sisters. His body was taken to the Austin Richards & Raff Memorial Home where friends may call from2-4 and -9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the Memorial Home at 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Earl Dunn officiating. Interment will be in Glen haven memorial Gardens.

She was an employee of D.E.S.C., Kettering. She attended the First Christian Church. Survivors include her grandmother, Mrs. Edna SODERS, Springfield, a son, Terry Lee METZ, Springfield; a daughter, Mrs. James (Lynn) FERO, Oxnard, CA; two granddaughters. Her body was taken to the Austin Richards & Raff Memorial Home where visitation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Memorial Home with the Rev. John Wilson officiating. Interment in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
