Mother of Party Head Dies at 70. Mrs. Patrick J. (Margaret E.) MCDONOUGH, 70, of Pitchin rd., South Charleston, Route1, mother of John MCDONOUGH, of Springfield, Clark County Democratic Party chairman, died at 11:28 p.m. Sunday in City Hospital, following an extended illness. She was born in Springfield, April 21, 1895, the daughter of Adam and Mary JUNG KRUPP. She had resided in Springfield all of her life. She was a member of St. Raphael Church, and the Altar-Rosary Sodality. In addition to her husband and son, John survivors include two daughters, Miss Margaret MCDONOUGH of Springfield; Mrs. Mary Ellen CULP of Tachikawa, Air Force Base, Japan; seven other sons, Stephen, Paul and Robert, all of Springfield; James of Catawba; Charles of Lawrenceville; Thomas and Michael of South Charleston; four sisters, Mrs. Catherine LEMMONS, Mrs. Louise BLAZER, and Miss Josephine KRUPP, all of Springfield; two brothers, Adam and Clarence of Springfield; 25 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Raymond in 1942. Her body was taken to the Conroy Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday. Requiem High Mass to be sung at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Raphael Church. The Altar-Rosary Sodality will conduct services at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Naomi VOLLMER, 81, who had been residing with a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude GAMP, at 110 South Light Street, for the past two weeks, died at 12:15 a.m. Sunday in Mercy Hospital. Mrs. VOLLMER had resided n Cincinnati prior to moving here to live with her daughter. Her husband, Edward, died in 1964. Mrs. VOLLMER was born November 3, 1883, in Lexington, Ky., the daughter of George and Susan KINNEY NORMAN. Among survivors are two sons, David E. DUNHAM and Lest DUNHAM both of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. GAMP and Mrs. Lura WILSON both of Springfield; two step daughters, Miss Laura VOLLMER and Mrs. Mildred LAFORTUNE both of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her body was taken to the Littleton Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Robert SAUTER, 89, of 129, West Euclid Avenue, died in Mercy Hospital at 2 p.m. Friday. He was born in Wittenberg, Germany, December 31, 1875, the son of Conrad and Marie MEZGER SAUTER. He had lived in Springfield for about 70 years. He was a retired barber and for many years had a barber shop in the First National Bank Building. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He is survived by his widow, Minnie, and one daughter, Miss Norma SAUTER, at home. His body was taken to Woods Funeral Home where friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Woods Funeral Home, with burial in Ferncliff Cemetery. The Rev. Kay M. Glaesner, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate.

He was a member of St. Mary Church and for the past several years had served as recroding secretgary for Local 155, National Association of Machinists, and had been employed a s machinist by the White Superior Division of the White Motor Corp. Survivors include his wife Leona; one son, Robert T. LAUCHARD, Springfield; one daughter, Sharon KAY at home; his mother, Mary LAUCHARD of Dayton; three brothers, Joseph and Jack of Dayton, and Geroge of Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Mary DESKI of Dayton; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His born was taken to the O'Brien'Kenney Funeral Home where friends may call form 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Requiem High Mass to be sung at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary Church. William H. WILSON, 59, a former Johnson rd., resident, died at 2 a.m. Tuesda in a Columbus Hospital. He had been in failig health for some time. He was born in Springfield November 16, 1906, the son of Charles H. and Rilla CAMPBELL WILSON. Prior to his retirement he was employed at the International Harvester Co. plant. Survivors include a son, William E. WILSON; two brothers, Charles and Robert WILSON, all of Springfielde; a daughter, Mrs. Carol KELLY of Vandalia; a sister, Mrs. Rufus GEYER of San Diego, Calif.; six grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew. His body was brought to the Jackson, Lytle, and Coffman Funeral Home.

Edward W (Big Boy) UPSHAW, 59, of 611 E Harrison St, died at 6:55 pm Wednesday in City Hospital following a period of failing health. Mr Upshaw was born in Cartersville, GA, Jfan 29, 1906, the son of the Rev G.W. and Georgianna UPSHAW. He resided in Springfield for 44 years and was a member of Peoples Baptist Church and was a deacon and member of the trustee board of the church. He also served as chaplain of the senior choir and Mens Circle No 4. He leaves three sisters, Mrs Bessie LOLLIS, Mrs Ola BISHOP, and Mrs Charlotte BUFORD all of Springfield; one brother, Homer UPSHAW of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews. His body was taken to the John W Patterson Funeral Home where friends may call after 1 pm Friday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday in Peoples Baptist Church with the Rev Auburn Tolliver officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

She was born in New Moorefield, Oct 30, 1885, the daughter of William and Edith ODELL HAYMAN. She was the widow of Edward ANDERSON who died in Springfield, 1950. She had resided in Springfield almost all of her life. Survivors include one son, Clarence ANDERSON of Springfield; one granddaughter Mrs Barbara LONGO of Urbana; two great grandchildren; two brothers Floyd and Owen HAYMAN of Springfield. Her body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home where friends may call from 7 pm Thursday until time of services at 10 am Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev James Urquhart, pastor of the Oakland Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.

Milton C KLINE, 86, of 130 E Home Rd Springfield, died at 6:45 am Thursday in the Ethan Allen Rest Home after being a patient for six weeks. He was born in Tobasco, Jan 8, 1879, the son of Henry and Ellen HOPPER KLINE. He moved to Newark in 1901 and resided there until 1962 when he came to Springfield to live with his son, Charles M KLINE. Before retirement, in 1945, he was employed as a brakeman for the B and O Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen for 60 years, a member of the K of P for 50 years, and a member of the First EUB Church in Newark. His wife, Daisy D KLINE, preceded him in death in 1956. Survivors include one son Charles M KLINE of Springfield and one daughter Mrs Kenneth GEORGE of Fairborn. His body was taken to the Ross Henderson Funeral Home in Newark where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Friday. Services will be held in the funeral home at 2 pm Saturday. Burial will be in the Cedarville Cemetery.

She was born June 21, 1879, in Lawrence County, the daughter of William and Matilda PLATT NANCE. Her husband, James WELLS, died in 1943. She had been a resident of Clark County for the past 13 years. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Lawrence County. Survivors include two sons, Roy WELLS, a teacher in the Springfield school system, and Lasco, also of Springfield ; two sisters, Mrs. Henry FUDGE of Kitts Hill, and Mrs. John URICK of Ironton, and four grandchildren. Her body was taken to Richards Memorial Home where friends may call. Services will be held at 7:39 pm Tuesday in charge of Rev Paul Tropf of the Story Hypes Methodist Church. Mrs. Ruth Blanche BRINK, 60, of 667 West Jefferson Street, died in Community Hospital at 8:10 p.m. Saturday following a serious illness of two weeks duration. She was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, on April 16, 1906, the daughter of Lindsey and Myrtle CLARK COZAD. She attended the First Pentecostal Church of Xenia. Mrs. BRINK had resided in Springfield for the past 20 years. Survivors are her husband, John BRINK; three sons, Earl PARKER, of Chillicothe; Darrell PARKER, of New Carlisle, and Delmar PARKER, of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Donald BISHER and Ms. James HOBARTY, both of Springfield; 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle DEPUGH, and two brothers, Clarence and Emmett COZAD, all of Chillicothe; two step-sons, paul and George BRINK, and one stepdaughter, Mary Alice WUNDERLY, all of Springfield. He body was taken to the Littleton Funeral Home.

Matilda Lothschuetz, 86, of 907 Lagonda av. Died at 5 a.m. Friday in Mercy Hospital after a two weeks illness. She was born in Springfield on Dec. 3, 1879, the daughter of Dietrich and Anna Klenke Schutte. She was a life-long resident of the city. She was a member of St. Bernards Church, the church's Altar Rosary Sodality, the Catholic ladies of Columbia branch 125, the Little Flower Circle of the Daughters of Isabella and the St. Bernard's Sewing Gild of Mercy Hospital. She was a graduate of the St. Aloysius Academy of New Lexington, O., and once served as organist for the St. Bernard Church. Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Hugh A. (Louise) Unum, Mrs. Joseph T. (Gertrude) Bennett, Mrs. Jack A. (Rosalind) Groeber and Mrs. Charles (Ester) Titer, all of Springfield; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews including the Rev. Father Robert Schutte, pastor of the Sacred Hearth Church in New Carlisle. She was preceded in Death b her husband Fed, who died in 1950. Friends may call at the Conroy Funeral Home beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday. Requiem High Mass will be sung Monday in the St. Bernard Church at a time to be announced. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
