(BRADLEY) SHEETS; two sons, Randall H, Orange, CA, David C, Cleveland Heights; two grandsons, Randy and Daniel. Mr. SHEETS graduated from Springfield Public Schools and Ohio State University in 1942 with a Science Degree. He was also a leader in Chemical Consulting and Marketing Industry. Known world wide for his market studies on Enzymology and Membrane Technology. He was a member of the American Marketing Assoc, American Assoc for the advancement of Science, American Chemical Society, American Research Assoc, Ohio State University Alumni Assoc, and a long time member of the Church of the Savior United Methodist, Cleveland Heights, OH. He was born in Madison, WV, on March 24, 1942 a son of Guy G. and Alice (MORRIS) DILLARD. He had lived in the Ironton, Ohio area most of life and worked for Morris Bean in Yellow Springs for the past 12 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Survivors include his wife, the former Margaret R. (Peggy) SHEFFER, whom he married February 13, 1965; two daughters, Janice and Rachael, two sons, Jason and Miles, all at home; one sister, Mrs. Gerald (Mary) WADE, Ravenswood, WV; one brother, John DILLARD, Ironton; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert. He had worked for more than thirty years as a cost accountant with the firms of COUNTS and GAIER, of which he was a partner. He had been a member of St. Bernard Roman catholic Church and the choir there; the St. Vincent DePaul Society; the Third Order of St. Francis; the Knights of Columbus, Council #624; the noon Optimist Club; SCORE, a professional society; the Elderly United of Springfield and Clark County, and had served as a trustee on the board of the Warder Public Library since 1948. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Neil (Clara May) REEB and Joan KRUPP, both of Springfield; three sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond H. and Elizabeth GAIER, Jr., of Huber Heights, Tony and Sue GAIER, both of Springfield and Don and Helen GAIER, of London; two sisters, Marie LONEY and Cecilia GAIER, both of Springfield; 28 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. A sister-in-law, Elizabeth GAIER and a special friend, Leroy OHRT, both of Springfield, also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, in 1935, and two brothers, Laurence and Norbert. He had been an employee of the Yellow Springs Instrument Company and was a member of the United Baptist Church in South Webster, Ohio. In addition to his wife Wilma (STAPLETON) ADKINS, also of Ewington, Ohio, he is survived by three sons, Michael Elmer ADKINS, and Brian Kyle ADKINS, of Springfield, and Matthew Daniel ADKINS, of Ewington; two grandchildren; four brothers and five sisters. She was also an expert skier. Mr. and Mrs. THOMAS was preceded in death b her husband in 1966. She is survived by her son, Allann Yeazel THOMAS and one sister, Mrs. Harold R. FURROW, both of Springfield. Private graveside services will be held on Monday, with the Rev. Edward Rich officiating. There will be no visitation in the funeral home. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Southwest Indian Foundation, Gallup, New Mexico. Contribution folders are available at the Funeral Home.
