Miss Mary O'CONNOR, 77, formerly of 1717 Lagonda av., died at 1:15 p.m. Monday in Ethan Allen Nursing Home following an extended Illness. She was born in Cardington Dec. 31, 1888, a daughter of Maurice and Johannah LYNCH O'CONNOR, but had resided in Springfield most of her life. She was a member of St. Raphael Church, the Altar Rosary Sodality of the parish and of the Dominican Aids. Survivors include two brothers, John of Springfield, and James of Belle Center, and several nieces and nephews. Her body was taken to the O'Brien-Kenney Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday. Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Raphael Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The Dominican Aids will conduct services at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed with services at 8 p.m. by the Altar Rosary Sodality of St. Raphael.

Mrs. Harriet E. WEIKERT, 84, formerly of 3856 Old Columbus rd., a Springfield resident for the past 43 years, died at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday in the Burt Nursing Home. She had been in failing health for the past three years. The daughter of Wilson S. and Margaret E. WELLS HOOVER, Mrs. WEIKERT was born in Troy February 27, 1882. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Mae YODER of Middletown; three sosn, Wilson of North Hampton, Paul H. of Richardmond, Va., and Glen R. WEIKERT of Springfield; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Private services will be held Thursday afternoon in the Littleton Funeral Home wth the Rev. Robert Schully, pastor of Central Methodist Church, in charge. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family suggests that remembrances to made to the Central Methodist Church Memorial Fund. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Service for Mrs. Gertrude S. MYERS, 90, of 2467 S. Yellow Springs rd., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Littleton Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Scully, pastor of Central Methodist Church, in charge. Burial will be in Glen Forest Cemetery, Yellow Springs. Friends may call at the funeral home form 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Myers died at 7 a.m. Tuesday in her residence following serveral years of illness. She was the widow of William C. MYERS, who preceded her in death in 1947.

Mrs. Laura H. WHITE, 86, of 2115 Lexington av., died in Community Hospital at 2 p.m. Saturday following two months of illness. She was born in Sardis, Ky., on Sept. 23, 1880, the daughter of James and Acsah PALMER LAWLYES, and resided in Springfield more that 50 years. She was the widow of the late Shirley WHITE, who died in Springfield in 1965. One son, Joseph Warren WHITE, preceded her in death in 1922, and a grandson, Warren SZABO, preceded her in death in 1965. She was a member of the Oakland Presbyterian Church and of the Modern Temple, Pythian Sisters. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Jeannette STOVER of Springfield and Mrs. Helen SZABO, of Dayton, O.; two sons, Ellsworth WHITE, of Springfield and Dr. Norman E. WHITE, of Bloomsburg, Pa.; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Her body was taken to the Richards memorial Home where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and until time of services at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the memorial home in charge of the Rev. James Urquart, pastor of Oakland Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Frank HISKETT, 81, of the Ohio Masonic Home, died at 7:05 a.m. Saturday in Rickly Memorial Hospital of the Home. He was born on August 27, 1885, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and entered the Ohio Masonic Home on June 11, 1963, sponsored by Cheviot Lodge, No. 140, F&AM Cincinnati. Survivors include a son, Wilbur HISKETT, of Johnson City, Tenn. A brother, Claude HISKETT, of Pittsburg, PA. The body was taken to the Woods-Alligier Funeral Home, and will be shipped to the Sullivan and King Funeral Home in Anderson, S.C. Burial will be in Silver Brook Cemetery, Anderson S.C.

Robert JUNG, 64, a native of Springfield and a resident of Auburn, Indiana for the past 30 years died Saturday in Auburn following a brief illness. Born in Springfield December 27, 1901, he was the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Ustler) JUNG. He had been employed as a sales manager for the Auburn Stoker Company for over 30 years. Survivors including his wife, Ann; one son, William of West Palm Beach, Florida; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas REICHARD of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy POLLOCK of Springfield; two brothers, Raymond of Lima, and Carl of Springfield; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Louis JUNG, and one sister, Mrs. Helen WALSH. The body will be brought to Conroy Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 p.m. Tuesday. Requiem Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bernard Church. Mr. Slusher was employed as an engineer with the Springfield Water Department and was a member of Red Star Lodge No. 205, Knights of Pythias. He is survived by his wife, Mary, his mother Mrs. Myrtle Slusher, one brother, Lawrence Ray Slusher, three nephews and four nieces. Stephen, the son of Mr and Mrs Valintin VALEY of 3661 California av, Kettering, seemed to be progressing satisfactorily when he was taken by death. His parents request that contributions be made to Cox Coronary Heart Institute. The boy underwent a five-and-a-half hour operation. He was on a heart-lung machine for two hours and 42 minutes. He also was the object of a special visit by Santa Claus in the pediatrics ward before his operation. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am Wednesday n the Fairmont Presbyterian Church, 3705 Far Hills av, Dayton. Friends may call at the church from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday. John H. LEARY, Sr., 73, of 240 Canterbury Drive, died at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday in Mercy Hospital following six weeks of serious illness. He was born January 9, 1894, in New Bedford, Mass., the son of John H. and Johanna LOWNEY LEARY and had resided in Springfield for the past 64 years. He was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church and of the Holy Name Society of the parish. Mr. LEARY was a member of Local 658 UAW-CIO and was a retired employe of the International harvester Co., where he had been employed for 24 years, retiring in 1959. Prior to employment at International Harvester he was associated with Wren's and the Vogue Shop. He was active in athletic programs over the years and for the past three summers was employed at the Snyder Park pro Shop. Survivors include his wife, Rosetta; one son, John H. LEARY, Jr., of Springfield; four daughters, Mrs. Louise JUNG of Lima, and Mrs. Anna Marie RIZER, Mrs. Joann THOMAS and Miss Jeanne LEARY, all of Springfield; 16 grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Survivors are her husband Roy; and two sisters, Mrs Carl WILLIAMS and Mrs Orval HARRIS, both of Springfield. Her body will be brought to the Richards Memorial Home.

A railroad telegraph operator for 15 years, he later became a "customers man" for Greene and Ladd brokerage firm, retiring from that position after 35 years. Born in Grafton April 11, 1883, he was a son of Maurice and Johanna LYNCH O'CONNOR. Survivors include his wife, Grace E.: one daughter, Miss Anna O'CONNOR of Detroit Mich. one son, John R." one grandson John Terry O'CONNOR; one brother, James P., all of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. HANSELL was one of the last surviving members of the James DEMINT family who were among the pioneer settlers of Springfield. A secretary for the International Brotherhood of Bookbinders, her memberships included the Blue Star Mothers, Auburn Lutheran Church, Springfield and the Mary and Martha Circle of the church. Her husband preceded her in death April 15, 1962. Born in Gracie, Tenn. September 26, 1903, she was the daughter of Jasper and Naomi MUMPER DEMINT. Mr. JUNG has resided in Springfield most of his life. After his retirement in 1958 he moved to California where he operated a motel. Mr. JUNG earlier in the week was honored for over 40 years of service at the William Bayley Company. He began on May 12, 1927, as a machinist in the Ross Equipment Division and in 1952 became a toolmaker. He and his wife moved into a newly built home Wednesday at the Middle-Urbana Road address.
