Page 4. Charles Carl "Charley" BYERMAN, 80, of St. Petersburg, Fla., a former Springfielder, died at 4:10 p.m. Friday in Edward H. White Hospital there. He was born in Clark County, June 22, 1898, a son of George and Martha GRAY BYERMAN, and had resided there all his life until moving to Florida 14 years ago. He retired from the Kelsey-Hayes Speco Division 14 years ago after 23 years of service as a machinist. Mr. Byerman was a former member of the Northridge Lions Club and the JOUAM. He was a member of the Northside Methodist Church, St. Petersburg. Survivors include his wife, Helen BOLTZ BYERMAN; two sons, Richard K. and Gil D., both of Springfield; a daughter Mrs. Carroll (Janet) K. WHEATON of Thackery; a brother Forrest H. of New Carlisle; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His body was brought to Richards Memorial Home where friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be conducted there by Rev. Paul Walters, pastor of the Enon United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Margaret A. Lothschuetz, 59, of 2673-K Cannon Point Court, Columbus, a former Springfield resident and one-time member of the board of trustees of the Clark County unit of the American Cancer Society, died Wednesday morning in her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Lothschuetz, a former registered nurse at Mr. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, was a 1937 graduate of Catholic Central High School and a 1946 graduate of the Springfield Community School of Nursing. She earned a bachelor's degree in 1962 from Wittenberg University and her master's degree seven years later from Central State University. Mrs. Lothschuetz was a former assistant professor for the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Conn. She was a member of Franklin Unit No. 1 Ladies' Auxiliary of the American Legion, and a former member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Springfield. She was born May 21, 1919 in Chillicothe, a daughter of Joseph F. and Anne Juenger. Survivors include her father, with whom she resided; a daughter, Mrs. Patrick (Mary Isabel) Nolte, Cheshire, Conn., and four grandchildren. Her body was taken to Conroy Funeral Home where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of the Resurrection will be sung at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Teresa Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

He was born in Clark County Oct. 12, 1910, a son of Samuel and Florence HILS HOLSAPPLE, and had lived in the area all his life. He was a former employee of the Crowell-Collier Publishing Co, and later retired from the Singer Sewing Machine Co. Mr. HOLSAPPLE was a member of Clark Lodge No. 101, F. and A.M., and the Central United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Ethel DOWNEY HOLSAPPPLE; one son, Robert W. of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Riobert *(Peggy) FIFE, Hillsboro and Mrs. Roger (Bonnie) MEEKS, Springfield, and six grandchildren. He had been employed as a lift operator at International Harvester Co. for over 35 years, retiring in 1969. He was a retired member of Local 402, UAW, and the Clark County CB Club. He was a 22 year employee of Robbins & Myer Co., retiring in April 1965. He is survived by a brother, Granville HALL of Springfield, and nieces and nephews. Page10. The Thursday death of Vicky LANG WHITTINGTON, 30, of 603 s. Arlington Ave., has been ruled a suicide by Dr. George P. Anderson, Clark County, Coroner, according to a spokesman for the coroner's office. A police report of the incident said Whittington was found hanging from the rafters of the garage about 2:45 p.m. Thursday. Her father, Roger WHITTINGTON, was notified of her death shortly thereafter. The police crime investigation team and officials from the coroner's office were called to the scene after the body was discovered. WHITTINGTON was found not guilty of murder in the Feb. 15, 1976 death of her 8 month old son and 2 1/2 year old daughter by reason of insanity. The bodies of the children were discovered in their 1938 Wilkes Dr. home by Rich E. LANG, then WHITTINGTON's husband. After her trial she was admitted to Lima State Hospital. Miss WHITTINGTON was born Dec. 13, 1948, in Springfield, the daughter of Roger and Mildred GRUNDTISCH WHITTINGTON. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, a graduate of Shawnee High School and attended Clark Technical College. Survivors include her parents, with whom she lived; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Shirley) NEUHARDT, and Mrs. Robert (Carolyn) BRADLEY, both of Springfield. A sister Barbara is deceased. Her body was taken to Jones-O'Brien-Kenney Funeral home, where there will no calling houses. Services will be held at the convenience of the family by Rev. William Zimmerman. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clark County Mental Health and Department and Hope Lutheran Church.

Mr. DAWSON worked for Grimes in Urbana following his graduation from St. Mary High School in 1941 until he was drafted a year later. Following the war, he worked for Fuller Brush Co until five years ago. He was born May 12, 1924, in Urbana, a son of James and Dorothy PETTY DAWSON. He was born in Madison County, May 1, 1890, a son of Michael J. and Sarah BURKE MCDONOUGH and lived in Springfield most of his life. He had been employed as a machinist at International Harvester for more than 33 years, retiring in 1958. He was also a farmer in South Charleston for many years. He was a member of St. Raphael's Church, the National Rifle Association, and a life member of the Springfield Sportsman's Club. He was active in hunting and trapshooting and was a member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association. He was a retired member of Local 402, UAW. Survivors include eight sons, Stephen J., Charles W., Paul E., John P., all of Springfield, James M., of Catawba, Robert M., of West Jefferson, Thomas E., of South Charleston, Michael of South Vienna; two daughters, Margaret A. of Springfield and Mrs. Mary Ellen CULP, Enon; and a sister, Miss Catherine MCDONOUGH; 25 grandchildren. 12 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
