The widow of Ludwig JUNG died in her home at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday. She was a member of the Married Ladies Society of the St. Bernard Church. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Anna SHEPARD of Springfield; five sons, Joseph, Karl, Louis, Henry and Albert JUNG, all of Springfield; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Page 6. Joseph DELACROIX, 65, OF Cedar Grove, Ind., died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday in City Hospital where he had been a patient since Nov. 7. He came to Springfield several weeks ago to visit a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn APPEL, and was stricken ill. A native of New Trenton, Ind., he was born Feb 23, 1883, and was the son of John and Catherine DELACROIX. He had lived near New Trenton almost his entire life. Surviving are the widow, Alberta, two daughters, Mrs. APPEL and Mrs. Mazie VERKLEY of Cedar Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Grover BROWN of Cedar Grove and Miss Elizabeth DELACROIX of Los Angeles, Calif., and a brother Clifford of New Trenton. The body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home and will be sent Wednesday to the Clevenger funeral home in Brookville, Ind.

A former gardener, Mr. Botkin was born in Clark County, Nov. 26, 1856, the son of Beniah and Emiline LIPPINCOTT Botkin. Mr. BOTKIN was a member of the Donnelsville Lutheran Church. Besides Mrs. CLICK, he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Cary GRIFFITH of Springfield; a son, Harold C. BOTKIN; a brother, A. F. BOTKIN of Meridian, Idaho; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home. Born Feb. 20, 1880, he was the son of Charles and Martha Ellen LORTON ARGABRIGHT, pioneers of German Township. He moved to Wadsworth 40 years ago. Mr. ARGABRIGHT, who never married, leaves only one immediate survivor, a sister, Miss Ethel ARGABRIGHT, with whom he resided. The body will arrive in Springfield at 8:30 P.M. Wednesday for services at the Littleton funeral home at 1:30 P.M. Thursday in charge of the Rev. J. W. Lorton of Florida. Burial will be in Lawrenceville Cemetery.

South Vienna. Mrs. Clara E. JONES, 79, died at 9 am Sunday in her home at South Vienna, following a heart attack last Tuesday. She was the widow of Frank JONES, and had lived all her life in the South Vienna vicinity. Mrs. JONES was a member of the Congregational Christian Church here. Surviving are three dauthers, Mrs. Mable INGLING of Springfield, Mrs. Ilo BROSEY of New Carlisle, and Mrs. Harriett HARROD of Columbus; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie JONES of South Vienna, and Mrs. Laura SLAGLE of Dayton; a half-sister, Mrs. Margaret EVERHART of South Vienna. The body was taken to the Lukens funeral home at London, O., and was removed to the residence in South Vienna Monday. Services will be held in the South Vienna Congregational Christian Church at 1:30 pm Tuesday with the Rev. N.G. Alexander officiating. Burial will be in South Vienna Cemetery. Mrs Hazel V EVILSIZOR, 61, of 101 1/12 S Race St, widow of the late Vern EVILSIZOR, died in City Hospital at 7:55 A.M. Tuesday following several months of failing health. Born the daughter of Alf and Mary Biser, she was a lifelong resident of Springfield and a member of the First Lutheran Church. Her husband Vern died in Springfield on March 30, 1947. Surviving are one son, Jack EVILSIZOR, of St Paris and her father, Alf Biser of Springfield. The body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home.

The old Pastime Theater, on of Springfield's earliest theaters, was built and owned by Mr. LOCKE. Before becoming a theater operator, Mr. LOCKE for several years managed a cigar store on Lagonda av. and later the Grand Cigar on the site of the present Guardian Bank. Mr. LOCKE retired from all activities in 1929. He was born May 3, 1867, the son of William B. and Harriet LOCKE. Mr. LOCKE, attended the Lagonda United Brethren Church. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Mable PRINTZ LOCKE; a sister, Mrs. Grace WOLFE, and a niece and nephew, Dorothy and Robert, all of Springfield. Mrs. BYERMAN died in her home, 1326 Linden av., at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday following an illness of three years. She had been seriously ill for two weeks. The widow of John BYERMAN, who died here in March, 1917, she is survived by three sons and three daughters. She was a life member of the Women's Missionary Society, United Lutheran Church of America, and was the oldest living member of the Second Lutheran Church. Until a few years ago when illness interrupted, Mrs. BYERMAN did extensive work with church and civic organization. For nearly 50 years she was a member of Daughters of America, Violet Council. Born Susan E. DUDLEY, Sept. 28, 1856, in a house on Jackson rd., she was the daughter of Pearson and Amanda LEFFEL DUDLEY. She was reared in the neighborhood of Emory Chapel where she attended rural schools. She attended the annual community reunions at the chapel until her illness. She was married in January, 1878, and after five years on a farm on the Urbana pk., came to Springfield where her husband built the Linden av. home in which she resided until her death. The surviving sons are C. Ray BYERMAN, office manager of Clark County Board of Elections; Wilbur P. BYERMAN, president-treasurer of W. P. Byerman, Inc., and Howard S. BYERMAN, secretary of the same firm. The three daughters, all of Springfield, are: Mrs. Clarence HAERR, Mrs. Goldie TRITLE and Mrs. Hazel HORTON. In addition, she is survived by 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Mrs. BUMGARDNER was a life member of the Catawba Methodist Church, the societies of that church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She had been in failing health about ten years and became seriously ill a week ago. Surviving are the the daughter, Mrs. TAVENNER; a son, Nathan E. BUMGARDNER, Springfield; a sister, Mrs. Arthur TAVENNER, South Vienna, and several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Jackson-Lytle funeral home and returned to the residence of her daughter.

Springfield Man Drowns In Creek Near Circleville. Arthur QUIRK, 37, of 1569 E. Main Street, drowned Tuesday about 9:30 a.m. while fishing in Deer Creek, 10 miles southwest of Circleville, Ohio. Mr. QUIRK had gone to a fishing camp near Circleville with George YATES, 60, 1784 Witt blvd., W., Monday afternoon. They went fishing Tuesday morning and Mr. QUIRK was in a boat while Mr. YATES was wading down stream. At about 9:30 a.m. Mr. YATES said he heard cries from the boat and when he looked in that direction the boat was empty. He immediately went for help. Pickaway County sheriff's deputies were summoned and began a search for the body but it had not been located at noon Tuesday. The water was said to be about 30 feet deep at the point where Mr. QUIRK disappeared. Mr. YATES. and Mr. QUIRK were driven to the Pickaway County camp Monday about noon by Thomas Hogan, 1480 Highland Avenue. Mr. QUIRK was born in Springfield, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. QUIRK. He received his education in St. Bernard School. He was not married and lived at home. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Helen TRIET, Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Joseph MCWILLIAMS, of Dearborn, MICH., and a brother, John.

Rites For Victim Of Drowning Are Set For Friday. Funeral services for Arthur QUIRK, 37, of 1569 E. Main Street, who lost his life by drowning while on a fishing trip, will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. The body may be viewed after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Degenhart funeral home. The body was found shortly after noon Tuesday in Deer Creek, 10 miles southwest of Circleville, Ohio. Mr. QUIRK had been fishing in the creek and disappeared about 9:30 2.m. Tuesday. Mr. QUIRK, who had gone to a fishing camp near Circleville with George YATES, 60, of 1784 Wittenberg Blvd., W., Monday afternoon, was in a boat while Mr. YATES was wading down stream. Farmer, 80, Gored To Death On Way To Chores. An 80 year-old farmer, Joseph CAVE of South Vienna, Route 1, was gored to death by a bull Tuesday as he was on his way to evening chores. His farm is one the Houston rd. near the Old Columbus rd. Miss Anna CAVE, a daughter who lived with him, said she heard Mr. CAVE yell for help from the barnyard. She went to the door of the house, and her cries scared the bull away. Her screams then attracted neighbors living a short distance away, and they carried Mr. CAVE out of the barnyard. They thought he was still living, and a call was put in for Lukens ambulance in London, O. When the ambulance arrived, however, Mr. CAVE had died. The goring occurred about 5:15 p.m. Mr. CAVE suffered a crushed chest, and several cuts on the body from the bull's horns. Although there were no eyewitnesses, apparently Mr. CAVE was thrown up into the air by the bull. One cut was between the legs. The barnyard is about 75 feet away from the house. Mrs. CAVE was born in Pike County, April5, 1869, the son of James and Johanna HAUBOLDT CAVE. His wife, Elizabeth POTTS CAVE, died April 12, 1935. Besides the daughter at home, he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Blanche YEAZELL, South Vienna, Route 1: one son, Boisle CAVE, also of Route 1; one grandson, William CAVE, Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Anna HAYES, Mechanicsburg, and two great-grandchildren. The body was taken to Littleton funeral home and will be removed to the residence Thursday morning, remaining there until Friday morning before being returned to the funeral home for services at 2 p.m. Friday, the Rev. W. S. Alexander, pastor of the South Vienna Congregational Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

A resident of Springfield for many years, she was born in Germany in 1871, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Spang. She was the widow of Martin Hornberger who died in 1923. A member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, she belonged to the Ladies Sodality and the Legion of Mary at the church. Surviving are the one daughter, three sons, Martin and Robert Hornberger of Springfield and Henry Hornberger of Jamestown; 18 grand children; 23 great grand children and number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Degenhart-Conroy funeral home and will be removed to the residence at 1009 Lagonda av. At 3 p.m. Saturday after which friends may call. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Bernard Catholic Church and burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Surviving are two sons, Ross and John R. COST, both of Dayton; two daughters, Mrs. Nora HOLCOMB of Oxborn and Mrs. Fern SINDLE of Springfield; a brother, Bert SMALL of Los Angeles, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Pearl MCKINLEY of Casstown, and one granddaughter, Mrs. Evelyn HARRISON of Springfeild. Josephine WREN, Widow of Store Founder, Dies. Funeral services for Mrs. Edward WREN, widow of the founder of the Edward WREN Store, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick's Cathedral, New York City. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. She died in that metropolis Sunday. Wren MALONE, 5 W. Ward st., who received word of Mrs. WREN's death, said he thought she was about 77 years old. Mrs. WREN left Springfield about 1925, and had traveled widely, establishing residence at several places. She had lived in Washington, D. C., London, England, and in Ottawa, Canada. She had been ill for the past 10 days at the New Weston Hotel in New York, where she had maintained an apartment for a number of years. Friends said she had recently decided against a planned trip to England, and Mr. MALONE stated that she had planned to go to Ottawa, Canada, to live. Death was attributed to coronary thrombosis. Although she had been ailing, relatives said that her condition had not been considered serious. Her husband, who died in October, 1917, founded the local department store still bearing his name. The business was sold by the Wren family about 1920. Mrs. WREN whose given name was Josephine, was born in Ireland. Her daughter, Mrs. Brendan QUINN of London, England, was believed to be en route to New York by plane after learning of her mother's illness. She was the former Miss Angela WREN. Also surviving is a son, Malcolm WREN who lives at the New Weston Hotel, and Mrs. J. B. HICKEY, a sister-in-law, of Springfield.

Former Resident of Springfield is Fire Victim. Mrs. George HARSHMAN, former Springfield resident, died in the disastrous fire which swept the cruise steamer Noronic at Toronto, according to work received Sunday by Mrs. James DILLARD, 3116 W. Main st., sister of Mr. HARSHMAN. Both Mr. and Mrs. HARSHMAN, who left their Cincinnati residence last Wednesday for a vacation trip through Canada, were passengers on the Noronic. Mr. HARSHAMN, son of Mrs. May HARSHMAN of 4 Harshman blvd., escaped from the burning craft and was admitted to St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, for treatment of burns on the face and hands. It is expected he will remain in the hospital three weeks. Word of the death of Mrs. HARSHMAN as sent to Mrs. DILLARD by her husband and her son, Jonathan H. HOLLARD of 402 � S. Western av., who left Springfield Saturday afternoon for Toronto to attempt to locate Mrs. HARSHMAN. Her death also was reported in press dispatches Sunday. The body was badly burned and identification was established by a wedding ring the dead woman was wearing. It is expected the body will be removed to Fort Thomas, Ky., for funeral and burial. Mrs. HARSHMAN, the former Betsy SOUTHGATE, was a prominent Cincinnati clubwoman and member of a prominent northern Kentucky family. A native of Fort Thomas, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifford SOUTHGATE of Fort Thomas. Her only survivors are her husband, her grandmother, Mrs. Harry SOUTHGATE, and an aunt, Mrs. Corey DREXELIUS, both of Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. HARSHMAN made their home in Springfield for a number of years after their marriage. Mr. Harshman is an appraisal interviewer for the Cincinnati division of the Veterans Administration.

Born in Franklin County, July 19, 1868, Mr. JOHNS formerly was employed by the Goodrich Rubber Co. in Akron. He was a member of the Knights of Pythiasfor 55 years and was associated with the Aetolia Lodge No. 24,�K. of P., in Akron. Mr. JOHNS was admitted to the local K. of P. Home from Cuyahoga Falls, O. There are no living survivors. The body was taken to Richards Memorial Home. Funeral Services will be held at the K. of P. Home at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Akron.
