Charles WHIPP, 28, died at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Frank DeLONG of Donnelsville. His death was due to a heart ailment. Mr Whipp had been employed by the county as a truck driver for road repair work, but ill health forced him to give up his position about four months ago. He was a member of the M. E. Church, and of the Junior Order Of United American Medhanics of North Hampton, Ohio. Besides the sister at whose home he died, a brother, Aubrey and his grandmother, Mrs. Mary TYREE, both of near Donnelsville, survive. Funeral services will be conducted at the M. E. Church in Donneslville at 2 p.m. Thursday with the burial in the Donnelsville Cemetery.

Mrs. GAIER Dies. Mrs. Lucille GAER, 33, of 737 East Madison Avenue, died Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, where she had been a patient since December 8. She was the wife of Raymond H. GAIER, auditor and credit manager of The Ohio Garment Co., and was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church, and of the Catholic ladies of Columbia, Branch No. 125, of this city. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Clara May and Joan GAER; three sons, Raymond, Jr., Anthony and Donald GAIER; and one sister, Mrs. Lee Marstella, of Springfield. The body was brought to the Degenhart Funeral Home in this city, and will be taken later to the residence.

page 18: Mrs. Margaret Ray, 95, died at 6 p. m. Thursday at the home of her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Frak Langdon, Derr rd.,Springfield, Route 1, following and illness of three years. Mrs. Ray was born in Virginia, and had been a resident of Clark County for more than 65 years, the grater part of which was spent in and around New Moorefield. She was a member of Pleaseant Hill M. P. Church. One daughter, Mrs. Florence Slusher, of Springfield, seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren besides the newphew and niece survive. The body was removed to the Coffman funeral home, where it will remain until Saturday when it will be taken to the Pleasant Hill M. P. Church for funeral services at 2 p.m. Burial will be made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Limestone Street died at the Clark County Sanatorium Monday evening following an illness of eight years. Mr. KILE was born in South Solon, Ohio, and had been a resident of Springfield for 30 years. He was an electrician by trade. He was a member of Lessing Lodge, Knights of Pythias. His widow, Mrs. Mary KILE; two sons, Ernest and Victor, of Springfield; his parents Mr. and Mrs. James H. KILE of Springfield; six sisters, Mrs. Mary SHOEMAKER, of Sedalia, Ohio; Mrs. Adeline CHRISMAN, Mrs. Nell FERRO and Mrs. Frances JENNINGS, all of Columbus; and Mrs. Lena SHEPERD and Mrs. Lulu KLIPPINGER, of Springfield; and two brothers, Russell KILE, of Worthington, Ohio, and Dr. J. C. KILE, of West Jefferson, Ohio, survive. The body was removed to the Littleton funeral home.

William FITZGERALD, former Springfield resident, died Monday at his home in Detroit, Mich., according to work received in this city. The body will be brought to Springfield Tuesday morning and taken to the O'Brien funeral home. A sister, Mrs. Patrick GILMORE of Chicago, survives. He was the son of the late John and Margaret FITZGERALD; a brother of the late Joseph and Martin FITZGERALD and the late Mary FITZGERALD. Funeral services will be held at the St. Raphael Church at 9 a.m. Thursday with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Ida YOWLER, 64, died Tuesday at the Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. H. TROUT of Dayton, and at 3 p.m. at the Ferncliff Cemetery chapel in Springfield. Mrs. YOWLER was born in German, and became a resident of Springfield when eight years of age. In 1914 she moved to Xenia, where she had lived until the last three months, when she had made her home near Clarksville, O. Her husband, Charles P. YOWLER; three daughters, Mrs. Nellie WEST, of Cleveland, Mrs. Irene FLEMING, of Texas, and Mrs. TROUT, of Dayton; four sisters, Mrs. Hilda SWOPE, of South Charleston; Mrs. Emma RECKNER and Mrs. Fannie OVERHAULSER, of Springfield, and Mrs. Helen CREIGHTON, of Columbus; two brothers, Henry GUETH, of Springfield, and Louis GUETH, of Florida, and two grandchildren survive.

Illness Of Two Years is Fatal Mrs. Emma PARISH, 67, Dies At Resident Mrs. Emma PARISH, 67, died Saturday, at 4:30 p.m., at her residence, 2003 Kenton St., following an illness of two years. She was born in Midland County, Pa., and had lived in Clark county for more than 60 years. On last July 12, Mr. and Mrs PARISH celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Mrs. PARISH was a member of the Emery Chapel M. E. Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, George W. PARISH, Sr., and seven children, Mrs. Mamie KARG, of Urbana, Route 5; Mrs. Lottie RYAN, Mrs. Bessie ATHY, Mrs. Ida MANN, George W., Jr., Charles W. and John W. PARISH, all of Springfield; one brother, Samuel SIBETS, of Springfield; 30 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. The body was removed to the Littleton Funeral home. The body of the Rev. R. N. LEATHERMAN, 48, who died Tuesday night in the Union City, Ind. Hospital, will be brought to North Hampton, O., for burial Friday afternoon. Death came to the Rev. LEATHERMAN, pastor of the Union City, O., Church of the Brethren, and Poplar Grove Church of the Brethren, south of Union City, Tuesday, following an illness of two weeks. He was known throughout several states for his evangelistic work, and had come to Union City 18 months ago from Grand Junction, Colo. His early life was spent in North Hampton, where his parents still reside. His widow and two daughters and three sons also survive him. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, at 10 a.m., central standard time, at the Union City Church, and at 2:30 p.m. at the Donnels Creek Church, near Springfield, with burial in the North Hampton Cemetery. Joseph John Spang, 54, of 729 Reed av., died at 7:25 p.m. Thursday at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Jacob Krupp, of 815 Warder st. He had been ill for some time. Mr. Spang was born in Springfield and had lived in this city all his life. He was a coremaker by trade, and a member of the Iron Molder's Union No. 72. He also was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and of the St. Bernard Church. His widow, Rachel; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Burke, of Springfield, two sisters, Mrs. Krupp, at whose home he died, and Mrs. Mary Hornberger; a brother, Louis, of Springfield; nine grandchildren and two nephews, Eugene and Leo Gaier, who made their home with him, survive. The body was removed to the Degenhart funeral home, 1706 E. High st., and will be returned to the residence later.

Mrs. Helen Kitchen, 36, of New Carlisle, Route 2, wife of Chester Kitchen, died at the City Hospital at 6:10 p.m. Thursday of pneumonia. She was admitted to the hospital Wednesday. Mrs. Kitchen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Burgoon of the Urbana pk., was born in Springfield and had lived in this vicinity all her life. She was graduated from Springfield High School with the class of 1918, and attended Wittenberg College for two years. She taught school for one year at the Bushnell School in this city. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Besides her husband and parents, two sons, Chester Kitchen, Jr., and Virgil; one sister, Maybelle Burgoon, and a brother, Virgil Burgoon survive. The body was removed to the Littleton funeral home.

Word has been received in this city of the death of Luther F. YOUNG, 78, the first police judge of Springfield, in a Dayton hospital Monday. He had been ill for a number of years. Judge YOUNG had spent practically his entire life in Springfield, where he was prominently identified with Republican politics. He became judge of the police court in 1887, and also served town terms as county auditor. He affiliated with the Clark County Bar Association in 1908. He was a graduate of Wittenberg College. He leaves a number of distant relatives of this city and a sister, Mrs. Mary A. BOWLUS, in Middletown, Md. The body will be brought to this city for funeral and burial. It will be taken to Herr and Craver Funeral Home.

Mr. JUNG, who had been employed by Robbins and Myers, Inc., was born in Germany, and had made his home in Springfield for the last 50 years. He was a member of the St. Bernard Church, the Holy Name and Benevolent Societies of that church; the Byers Benevolent Society and the German Benevolent Society. His widow, Elizabeth; five sons, Joseph, Charles, Louis, Henry and Albert JUNG; a daughter, Mrs. Anna SHEPARD, and seven grandchildren, all of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Mary KRUPP and Mrs. Josephine WHITTACRE; and three brothers, Father Charles JUNG, of Columbus, and Jacob and Peter JUNG, of Springfield, survive. Although he had been in poor health for some time, he had felt about as usual Tuesday, and had spent a part of the day husking corn. He was a native of Clark County, and had lived in the vicinity of Enon most of his life. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Daisy STRONG; five daughters, Mrs. Elmer WILSON, of Yellow Springs, Mrs. Russell HAYES, of Albuquerque, N. Funeral Services for Jasper EVILSIZOR, 74 who died early Sunday morning, at his home three miles south of Urbana, from paralysis, were held from the Gardner and Seaver Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Rev W H Sinks, pastor of the Bowlusville church, conducted the services. There were many beautiful floral tributes and the funeral home was filled to capacity with friends and relatives. The pallbearers were H W Barnett, F W Morris, Galvin Morris, Bert Hare, Joseph Thackery, and Pearl Andrews. Interment was made in Nettle Creek Cemetery, south of Westville by Gardner and Seaver, local funeral directors.

Margaret MAROT Dies In Columbus. Widow Of First Marketmaster Here Succumbs. Mrs. Margaret MAROT, former Springfield resident who celebrated her 100th birthday anniversary march 31, died Wednesday at the home of her grandson, William F. JUSTUS, of 1279 Oakwood Avenue, Columbus, according to word received in this city. She is the grandmother of Mrs. Margaret SWEARINGEN, 725 � Clifton Avenue, and the great grandmother of Merrill T. SWEARINGEN, of 23 West Madison Avenue. Six great great grandchildren survive. Mrs. MAROT was the widow of William MAROT, a Civil War veteran, and the first marketmaster of the present city market. Until eight months ago, she was quite active, and her death followed a serious illness of only a few days. She left Springfield to make her home in Columbus about 40 years ago, but had made frequent visits to her relatives in this city. She was born in Hagerstown, Md., and came to Springfield with her parents when a small girl. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Schoedinger funeral home in Columbus, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus.

James DONAHOE, former resident of South Charleston, and brother of Henry, William and Joseph DONAHOE, of Springfield, died Thursday morning at his home in Chicago, Ill., following a long illness. The body will be taken to South Charleston, to the home of a brother-in-law, William C. O'Brien, arriving there Saturday, and funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the St. Charles Church, with burial in the St. Charles Cemetery. Besides the brothers living in Springfield, another brother, Edward, of Orient, O.: his widow, Belle O'Brien; and two children, a daughter, Anna Marie and a son, Arthur, both of Chicago, Survive.

Jasper EVILSIZOR, son of William and Frances Ellison EVILSIZOR, was born 11/18/1862 in Mad River township, Champaign County, OH. He was one of seven children-three girls and four boys, Also he was of a family in which there were 14 half-brothers and sisters. On September 17, 1891 he was united in marriage to Emma Hamilton, also of Mad River. To this union was added nine children; five sons and four daughters; one daughter Maude, having died in infancy. Mr Evilsizor had been a life long resident of Mad River township and a prosperous and well respected farmer. About 30 years ago he attended a revival meeting in Tremont City held by Evangelist Carroll. In this meeting he received a definite religious experience. Though he never united with any church, he held on to his inner and spiritual experiences. He, with his wife, frequently attended the Bowlusville United Brethren Church and took an interest in its upkeep. For nearly two years the deceased had been in declining health, caused by heart trouble. On last Oct 4 he was stricken with paralysis, on Oct 6 with a second stroke, and on Oct 8 with a third stroke. Since then he had been entirely bedfast. He bore his suffering patiently until the last and on early Sunday morning, April 5, 1936, he passed to the world beyond at the age of 73 yrs 4 months and 17 days. He leaves to mourn his departure; his devoted wife; five sons, Oscar, at home; Robert, living in the home of Amanda Haer, Urbana, RR5. Three daughters, Alice, at home, Mary Grow of Cable, Ohio, and Thelma Seelenbinder of Urbana, and one half-brother, the Rev Isaac EVILSIZOR, of Mechanicsburg; and 13 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews, besides a wide circle of other relatives and friends. Many friends that traveled with me Reached Heaven's Portal long ago; One by one they left me battling With the dark and crafty foe. He had been living in the vicinity of St. Paris since leaving Springfield seven years ago. Mr. LEHMAN was a retired grocery clerk. His death followed an illness of three weeks. He was a member of the First Lutheran church of Springfield. His wife, Rilla, died 23 years ago. The body was removed to the Frank and Barger funeral home in St. Paris, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. E. Clyde Xander, D. D., pastor of the First Lutheran Church of Springfield, and the Rev. George Dittman, of the St. Paris Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be made in the Beavertown Cemetery.

SALESMAN DROPS DEAD AT PLANT Julius Holl, 50, of Maiden Lane, died suddenly at 4 A.M. Saturday at the pant of the Springfield Baking Co, where he was employed as a bread salesman. Death was due to heart disease. Mr Holl was born in Springfield= where he had lived most of his life. He leaves his wife, Mrs Amelia (EVILSIZOR,) Holl; three children, Fred J, Catherine and Paul; three brothers, Carl, Phillip and William; and five sisters, Mrs Mary Pfieffer of Washington DC, Mrs Alma Shetter, the Misses Emma, Henrietta and Minnie Holl. The body was taken to Herr and Craver funeral home.

Funeral services for Edward B. KEATING, 23, of 950 Harrison st., who died Saturday at 4 p.m. in the City Hospital of injuries sustained in a collision Saturday of the motorcycle he was riding and an automobile on the Valley Pk., South at the entrance to George Rogers Clark Memorial Park, were held in his residence Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. They were in charge of the Rev. C. E. HELMAN, pastor of the Brethren Church of New Carlisle. Further services were held at 2 p.m. at the Glen Haven Memorial Park, with burial there. Mr. KEATING's widow, Bessie Lucille, 17, sustained a possible skull fracture, a broken nose, and numerous lacerations in the same accident. Her condition in the City Hospital, where she has been a patient since Saturday, was still termed "fair" Tuesday.
